Maybe base capture is a quick painless thing that happens but getting there is hard as balls
So that way when you have a base its not a matter of just spawn camping for 10 minutes but it'll take you 30 minutes just to get to the thing and if you manage to take control of it you pretty much get the base in 3-5 minutes and have to defend the point to maintain that capture
This wouldn't be ideal with the current base layout/objectives but imagine if you had to blow the gate shields to an amp station, then blow the western shield gen, then blow the eastern shield gen (in that order), then take something else out before you'd finally have access to the capture point, in which case you pretty much get the base in mere minutes once you get it.
Think Dystopia mod for HL2. Imagine if you had to do a series of objectives to "win a base" just like you would have to do a series of objectives to win a round in Dystopia. Then its not about spawn camping while you hold the point, but more about just getting to the point in the first place, and if you can get there you pretty much "win" within minutes so there's no need to spawn camp. Or maybe something like Dustbowl for TF2, as that uses capture mechanics as well so you wouldn't even need to actually implement new mechanics for the objectives.
Basically the point being that the objectives take you away from where the enemy spawns are, and if you win the objectives you quickly win your goal. So it's a bad idea to spawn camp as you won't ever actually maintain the objective[/QUOTE]

I didn't want to post to the fourms initially but for some reason the devs actually visit their forums more often, which is sad considering it's literally a cess pool. I'm expecting to be told my idea is either dumb or completely ignored lol
I don't know if it's just me but ever since the new patch I've been crashing a lot lately. Any reason why? I turned down my graphics when they made it all crazy and shit but that doesn't seem to help.
After this week of alerts, seems like all the 4th factioneers switched to vanu. TR population has dipped pretty low on connery, NC and VS are growing to be the only contenders during alerts, although TR's "fuck NC" policy is still in effect. Defend Dahaka? Nah, send entire team to east canyon and NS storage.
So uh, I just launched a phoenix and it never went into cam mode and just smashed into the ground. But instead of exploding like they usually do when that bug happens it just took off. Like, it just slid across the ground at a billion miles per hour and sped off into the horizon.

But Mattherson TR have been bleeding territory to VS and NC all day. We had them up to their warpgate on Indar for like two hours and VS had them all the way to whichever is the dry ocean biolab. They've only just started regaining all the lost territory this past hour or so. I haven't even seen any BWC guys around all day. My face is thoroughly un-stomped.

Amerish was pushed to our warpgate when we started, we utterly pubstomped our way through, and was pretty much still 95+% ours when we went back to the warpgate

That's why we've been seeing [666] tags on Mattherson, even though they are on Connery most of the time, weird how BWC and AT had different recording times for the E3 trailer though. It was fun recording the trailer though, i'm the white scythe with lumi on flying in formation alongside 3 white libs, also with lumi on.

Have fun with those devil dogs, I hope they only bring the ones that are worth a shit and the ones that are sober to your server. Devil dogs probably make up a third of all team kills done to me, half the time I'll get a poorly worded (mostly spelt correctly) apology noting they are drunk and everyone is just kind of a blur. The others, well, let me just put it this way, there were 5-6 of us behind a tree trying to push vanu, we (there were 2 [666] among us) were trying to get everyone up and ready to go when suddenly a wild [666] lightning appeared backing up in a hurry, in his haste, he mistook us for vanu and blasted all of us to death before getting shot by a maggie and blowing up.

At least we make the effort to apologise even when drunk. Poorly worded or not, we could easily just move on and pretend it didn't happen like everyone else does.

That's why I mentioned it in detail, because I understand and forgive those ones, the other ones I don't forgive because they fall under the other half that you just said. Easily move along and pretend nothing happened, not that they care that it happened. Now if you are gonna get uppity because I do have a problem with how a minute few of your outfit act from time to time, I just guess we can't be friends.

We had AT recording for the E3 trailer as well, although VS on Mattherson just like to pull a ton of galaxies and slam them directly into the enemies warpgate.

I wish there was a reason to have 12 people in a single Galaxy. Same with Sunderers. What's the point when you could just get more Galaxies and have everybody man a gun.

Nope. They get the Striker, a lock-on ground/air missile launcher with a 5 shot magazine.
Closest thing to the Phoenix that the TR and VS can use is the MANA Anti-vehicle turret, which uses a mouse-guided rocket like the rocket launchers in Half-Life.
