Seems to be fixed now.
And here we go.
lmao someone on matherson on VS was literally saying he was just playing VS because of ZOE and once they nerf it then he'll move back to NC Who seriously does that? Its so stupid "Wah I must always be on the faction I perceive as winning even though I halve my effective XP gain by splitting time between two characters" It seriously worse than fair-weather fans (aka people who only like a sports team and root for them when they are winning), because you blindly put a handicap on yourself when you do it. It's silly to me that people are actually shallow and spineless enough to need to do this instead of just sticking to one faction once they figure out one they like or once they've already "finished" a character and want to try a new one.

I was tempted to, but now I've gotten used to Woodman NC, even though our territory on any continent averages warpgate + 2 areas.
OK, is it just me or is it actually difficult to track people moving around (adad spamming) in this game? was just in a fucking massive battle on waterson. we were taking our 2nd amp station during a power grab alert. The alert timer keeps fucking up and despite us having what was about a 60 second lead, it suddenly goes down to 40 seconds and than us losing by 10 seconds. We never lost the point or anything the entire time. Was a big, but shitty battle as my framerate dropped to like 20 the entire time and my render distance was like 70 meters. Also, the Uppercut doesn't 1HKO anymore? I just got right up to the back of two HA who didn't even have their shields up and it didn't kill them. What the fuck is the point of PA's now? They are in effect worse in every way to semi autos. EDIT: nvm I had slugs on for some reason.
The below are the major weapon and vehicle changes planned for GU011. Vehicle and MAX Resource Costs The majority of vehicles and the MAX units will be getting a resource cost increase with this update. The new values are based on data that we have collected from the Live servers, and our goal is to even out the resource costs with their related income rates. New Costs: Flash: 150 Sunderer: 400 Lightning: 400 Magrider: 450 Vanguard: 450 Prowler: 450 Scythe: 250 Reaver: 250 Mosquito: 250 Liberator: 350 Galaxy: 350 Harasser: 400 MAX: 350 MAX Abilities The Burster buffs when using the VS ZOE and TR Lockdown abilities will be reduced. The damage received when the VS ZOE ability is active will be getting increased. Note: The timer currently on the test server for the ZOE ability is not planned to go live. Shotguns All shotguns will be getting a small reduction in damage per pellet. The goal with this change is to reduce slop while keeping the effective kill ranges of the shotguns the same. So glancing hits and spamming without aiming will not be as rewarding, but well-aimed shots should just be as effective as before. The default ammo count on the pump-action shotguns will be dropping from 5 to 4 rounds. This brings their potential kills per magazine and kills over time more in line with the other weapon classes. Faction Heavy Weapons All faction weapons will be getting a pass to make them more effective at their various roles. Jackhammer: The ammunition capacity of this weapon is being increased to 9 rounds. Also, the burst mode will be gaining a rate of fire increase. MCG: The fire delay is being removed. Instead, the weapon will fire immediately and the rate of fire will ramp up over time. The hip accuracy is being adjusted to better allow sustained fire. Lasher: This weapon will receive a rate of fire increase and a slight damage buff, which should allow it to be viable in more situations. Also, ally players will no longer take the full AOE damage. IRNV Scopes We feel that the current downsides to this optic (less visibility at range) are negligible when compared to its benefits. We’re going to be adding a very small delay before the night vision is active and a small amount of scope sway to better balance the attachment out. Flak Bursters will be getting an accuracy penalty when moving and COF bloom is being added over sustained fire. The goal with this change is keep them just as effective at near range while dropping their effectiveness at extreme ranges (300+ meters). Skyguards will be getting a projectile speed increase and other stat changes to make them better at range. Vulcan The Vulcan has been updated to be more effective at range and now has a larger clip size. In addition, it has been given a spin up time. The Vulcan still fires during the spin up time, but at a reduced rate. Sunderer Deployment Facilities and Outposts on Indar and Amerish now have Sunderer No Deploy Zones. These function just the like No Deploy Radius around allied deployed Sunderers. These zones prevent you from parking your Sunderer right on top of the capture points. You’ll have to fight to the capture points on foot. Edit: Forgot one. Edit 2: Spelling Underbarrel Attachments These have been removed from the weapon selection list and are now mapped to the primary weapon key. Press 1 to swap between the weapon and its attachment.

lmao someone on matherson on VS was literally saying he was just playing VS because of ZOE and once they nerf it then he'll move back to NC
Now I've stuck with VS since launch and only really tried other factions in the test/occasionally, rather than 4th factioneering when the chips are down or our gear is just plain bad I try to get it changed. A few of the posts in response to my thread about The heavy weapons being terrible were basically "Lol they are terrible and not chaning Deal/W it!" This "STFU and Deal With it" Mentality has to stop, developers are taking a more active interest in their community so if you feel there is a problem you should say something about it as opposed to just letting it sit and fester and thus nothing ever gets done. That being said, whenever something is OP for the NC or TR (Mostly NC but froumside is forumside so W/E) you hear very little besides "it's fine STFU and L2P!" but when something is op or at least approaching usable for Vanu (And TR... those poor prowler tanks) suddenly the cries of "OMFG OP! NERF PL0X!" ring through the messageboards. I'll take a case in point. The Lancer! Release day Lancer was broken, buggy and damn near unusable. It has CoF bloom so at ranges > 300M hitting a target was literally A matter of winning the lottery and even if you did the damage began to fall off harshly up to that point so you did less than a single Striker rocket. You may as well have used a Lock on or just the default Dumb fire as you would hit more often AND do more damage. It was plagued by a bug where charging up took the full three seconds but only loaded and fired on ammo, it even only showed on charge bar if you zoomed in and IF you weapon swapped to cancel the timer and the tried to re-fire you'd still only charge to one bar until you wasted that one ammo. (This bug still exists) Forumsides response "It's fine! Shut up, L2P, and bend over while I fire this instant kill, camera guided nuclear dildo launcher up your arse which is totally fair and balanced in every way!" Now I'll be the first to admit that the Zoe is a little TOO good at what it does although I think it's JUST about manageable as it is now... perhaps in need of SOME kind of tweak to bring it down to level as opposed to forumsides mentality of "If it killed by balanced Skill based setup once it must be OP and nerfed into unusability. My current build being the best is fine Deal /w it!" If Forumside had it's way we'd all be playing NCvsNCvsNC with heavy assaults only. Why does the lasher deserve a reduction in friendly fire damage and other weapons don't
That being said, whenever something is OP for the NC or TR you hear very little besides "it's fine STFU and L2P!" but when something is op or at least approaching usable for Vanu suddenly the cries of "OMFG OP!
Why does the lasher deserve a reduction in friendly fire damage and other weapons don't
Because other primary weapons don't damage your allies when you bullets hit an enemy target directly. Meaning that the lasher was useless if allies were within 10m of an enemy you were trying to shoot and quite commonly your efforts to attack the enemy would cause your allies to take damage and die to said enemy. And don;t you retort by saying "rocket launchers" or "grenades" those aren't your primary weapon. [editline]15th June 2013[/editline]
Just stop.
hey! Have you ever been to forumside? Do you know what its LIKE over there? and the worst part is knowing that the Devs sometimes listen to these people!
hey! Have you ever been to forumside? Do you know what its LIKE over there? and the worst part is knowing that the Devs sometimes listen to these people!
I do. I've seen countless times people saying the exact same thing you did while swapping factions around. Your generalization is childish and "forumside" material, so you should stop.
I do. I've seen countless times people saying the exact same thing you did while swapping factions around. Your generalization is childish and "forumside" material, so you should stop.
I would not call it A generalization when everything I have mentioned was quoted near directly from the official lancer feedback thread. Or the Official Striker Feedback thread... Or the Official Pheonix Feedback thread post nerf... Cept for the part about dildos... I agree that was a little childish.
BAHAHAHA no. VS whiners are just as numerous and vocal NC and TR.
True but there were less Vs whiners dropping into other whiners threads to tell whiner A to shut up. Either way the place is a shithole.
Every empire whines about the other empires being OP. Except the one you're in.
This game truly is PS1's successor then
This game truly is PS1's successor then
When every weapon and every item in the game has a thread complain it's Both OP or UP. Then the game will be truly balanced. At current rate of forumside whining I predict this will occur by the end of they year.
Wow, those are some hefty changes. I wonder how drastically this will lower vehicle numbers.
Should be interesting. At the moment I am back to max resources before the cooldown of whatever I grabbed wears down.
Not mine.

Well that pretty much killed me wanting to pull a vehicle ever again after that update. Seriously, 400 fucking resources for a Lightening? 150 for a flash? The only problem with the lightening was HEAT spammers, not even HE anymore. I practically only pull the lightening for AP tank hunting, and even then i get killed really fucking quickly by enemy tanks and rockets. So in effect instead of being able to pull 5 over a 30 minute span, I will only be able to pull 2. That sucks ass. The fucking harasser being put on par with the lightening and sunderer cost wise is also fucking ridiculous. I know the NC and VS ESWs for the harrasser effectively turn them into a light tank, but the TR is stuck with the shitty fury. Man I'm dissapointed in this GU. There goes all the fun I can have with friends and vehicles, which sucks because I just managed to recruit 3 to play more regularly with me and now that the resource cost is that much more punishing, they are going to get wasted in like 2 seconds. Oh, and of course SOE had to throw in that obligatory kick to the balls for shotgun users. It isn't bad enough that that the effective range isn't even a room's length, and that the damage drops off more than half after that, they have to reduce it even further to make it even more pathetic. The least they could have done was to slightly buff the pellet velocity a little.
IRNV Scopes We feel that the current downsides to this optic (less visibility at range) are negligible when compared to its benefits. Maybe with the coming decrease in vehicle quantity, we'll get to see a marked increase in vehicle quality? :optimistic:
It also looks like the ESF update got pushed back yet again, so the infiltrator update will be in like 2 months. [editline]15th June 2013[/editline]
Maybe with the coming decrease in vehicle quantity, we'll get to see a marked increase in vehicle quality? :optimistic:
Nope, your tanks will just be as explodeable to rocket barrages and c4 as ever.
It's an indirect buff to vehicles, making them much more expensive means there will be less people spawning them therefore less counters when you spawn one
Killjoy
What? The most played class in the entire game is the Heavy Assault. It carries anti-tank weaponry (rocket launcher) on him at all times regardless if you even need it. As long as people play HA then they are a tank counter.
It seems to me that every time something is nerfed or buffed people go to call it the opposite becuase of some reason that is never fully explained/so goddamn situational you'll se it less often than an NC jack-hammer. Like that Vanu Damage Scaling Buff which people say is in fact a nerf while providing no reasoning as to why.
Like that Vanu Damage Scaling Buff which people say is in fact a nerf while providing no reasoning as to why.
Basically VS falloff had a certain point around 30-60 meters of bullet travel time where it did more damage then the TR and NC, so it was a nerf in medium range for a slight buff at 80-100 meters, which nobody ever fights at.
Underbarrel Attachments These have been removed from the weapon selection list and are now mapped to the primary weapon key. Press 1 to swap between the weapon and its attachment.
Finally. I kept blasting out my teammates brains with a pistol when I meant to heal or repair them.
updates
So much for focusing my certs on armor :c
the night vision is active and a small amount of scope sway to better balance the attachment out.
Oh god why
