Planetside 2 V6 - VS capped Indar? It's more likely than you think

I wouldn't be adverse to all guns having sway while aiming. I feel a little dirty outsniping an infiltrator with an LMG.

Fuck that. If you're allowing yourself to get hit that frequently as an infiltrator, its time to move.
I would dislike sway on my TR carbines and ARs, they are difficult enough to control at mid range.
If you ask me sway has no place in a pc shooter, period.
What?
The most played class in the entire game is the Heavy Assault. It carries anti-tank weaponry (rocket launcher) on him at all times regardless if you even need it.
As long as people play HA then they are a tank counter.
Are you implying a single HA is more of a threat to a tank than another tank
Are you implying a single HA is more of a threat to a tank than another tank
No, he's saying that if there are less tanks around that probably wont mean that there are going to be any less HAs around. They're the class that generally makes up the bulk of an attacking force and they all have rocket launchers, fewer tanks doesn't mean there will be fewer people out there with a launcher. There will still be just as many counters about even if the amount of vehicles around were to decrease.
So they lowered the availability of vehicles in a game where 3/4 of the guys you fight has a lock-on / AT weapon
Yeah I see no problem at all with this

Secondly a HA is not as dangerous as another tank, so there's your indirect buff. If anything they made the skill ceiling higher since you can't just spam tanks every 10 minutes and do suicide runs
Fewer vehicles also mean less reasons to bring lock on weapons over dumb fire, so there you have it
Every class but the infiltrator can deal with tanks.

Basically what you are doing right now is bitching about starcraft units 1v1ing, even though it's not about 1V1s, it's about group effectiveness, infantry is more pullable therefore more effective, if you are trying to 1v1 a tank you deserve to have a bad time since it's a team based game and they brought the force multiplier. And honestly TTK of tanks VS tanks doesn't matter since tanks projectile velocity isn't high enough to get outside of render distance without landing a godamn hail mary, and it takes more shots from an AP magrider to kill an prowler then it takes for an infinitely pullable AV turret to kill a prowler.

100000 tanks vs 100000 HA
100000 tanks vs 100000 HA
Stand outside of render limit and those tanks can't do anything, then fire at them with your hyper long range weapons while being in no danger at all.
1 shot from a tank can take out 10 HA.
I feel like nobody but me plays LA.
Ever since I slapped a laser sight onto my Hailstorm I can't stop being LA

You should try out the lynx for LA, it's fun.
Is the NS-11A worth saving the thousand fucking certs for?
I'm only about at 250.
No gun is worth saving up 1000 certs IMO, especially if you're starting out. Go for the cheaper options, the 250 cert ones of each category usually change up your playstyle enough.

If you have a spare 15 bucks, go buy a SC card at gamestop, you get the NS-11P for free with that ontop of 1500 SC, the P variant is just a reskin of the A.
It's very fun to use though, currently using x2 sight, silencer/compensator, advanced foregrip and HV rounds on it.

Some people like it but I personally don't think its worth dropping 1000 certs on. I'd recommend getting the TAR if you're TR, H-V45 if you're VS or the Carnage BR if you're NC. Not only are these some of the best all around ARs in the game but they're also only 250 certs.
The problem with the TAR is that it's a close range as fuck weapon, if you're that close you might as well should just buy a shotgun.

The NS-11 is the jack of all trades, but is the master of none. It usually excels medium to long range. Normally I sport that gun on Esamir. Slap a compensator, a foregrip and a sight of your liking, and it'll kill most things you point at it. I put at least a x2 sight on it, if you want my suggestion.
I want a rifle that's actually useful at this game's engagement distances and I heard the NS-11A was good at range. Plus I like the way it looks.

Not really. The TAR is a faster shooting, slower reloading and more hip accurate version of the T1 Cycler, which as a starting weapon is a great all-around gun. The only issue with it is the recoil, which isn't bad compared to the Cycler TRV. It can also use Soft-Point Ammo, which extends the maximum damage range by about ~20%.

You'll definitely want a close-range weapon then. Most engagements in the game are at close distances, especially inside of towers, biolabs and around tech plants. If in doubt, narrow down your choices by testing all the weapons in VR and then trial the few you're the most interested in.
I don't know what you're talking about because every time I play the game we're firing at eachother near the shoreline of the dead sea in Indar at 4-6 hundred meters.
NS-11A's fucking awesome, ace of all trades, shared between factions (so you get it on TR, you'll have it on any NC or VS alts you might have), looks a lot cooler than most other guns available, extremely accurate, deals a considerable amount of damage, surprisingly lethal at close range.
I don't like it much. 143 damage per shot at 652rpm is low, and the Up/Left recoil really turns me off. Maybe I'm just too used to the SABR-13 and TAR for assault rifles, each to his favorite guns I guess.
1 shot from a tank can take out 10 HA.
Sure if they're all stacked up inside each other like idiots.
EDIT: Also, for those who missed it at the E3 Command Center.

I wasn't aware VR and trial were things until you mentioned them. The NS-11A seems like a lot of fun, the recoil pattern is easy to exploit. I'll trial it after I wake up.

I saved a thousand up for it
Then bought an SMG. Since every class can use an SMG, and it spits out rounds fast, and has soft tipped Ammo, and the advanced laser for extreme hipfire accuracy... Yeah it was pretty easy decision. You can load that up on an Infiltrator and it completely changes the class. You can start shooting from the hip up to 40m pretty accurately so in those confrontations in doors, you don't have to wait until your sights come up and also move slower because of it, you can just dump the rounds out
They aren't great at range, but when you're a Medic or Infiltrator, or any other class capping a base, you're not fighting at long ranges anyway
Is it worth 1000 Certs? Nothing is worth a thousand fucking Certs, that shit needs to change. But it's worth having
Looks like all the different class variations of helmets and comp armour are being consolidated into bundles.

Makes sense considering all the new helmets are one-purchase-all-class. Much cheaper than buying them all individually, but sucks if you only wanted them for one class.
