Alternately find a gunner but in this day of Soloside 2, most people would rather pull their own tank than get in the gunner seat.

I can't wait for them to finally get around to doing that driver / primary gunner upgrade option for the tanks. The magrider would be fucking beastly, imagine like a super-charged saron on a chassis that is fucking zipping all over the place a man can dream~

But we will probably never see them implemented this year, as they aren't even on the roadmap. I would greatly prefer some sort of ES turret for the lightening. massive 30 or 60mm minigun for the TR as an AV weapon would make my day.

As opposed to nerfing the Sauron they should bring the Vulcan and whatever the TR have going for them more into line. Heck I would be happy if they let us equip the Proton II as the main gun on the magrider (Although that shit is BEASTLY for killing infantry. It's like the lasher but... ya know. good!)

It's kind of retarded that the vulcan rounds do SO LITTLE damage considering they are the same caliber as the basilisks. They are even supposed to be better than the basilisk rounds against armor because they are actually AP rounds. But even its anti-infantry capacities are pure shit. It takes like 9-10 rounds at close range to kill most infantry. It actually has worse damage per shot than SMGs and shotgun pellets. I'm not saying it should be AS powerful as the basislisk, but it should still reflect that it's firing 20mm rounds ffs. Putting the damage more in line with ARs/LMGs and giving it 6-7 shot kills would be fine.

Tanks need some lovin and nerfing tanks down is the wrong way to go.
I think the Saron should be nerfed, because it is currently the option. It's not even an option, it's just "do I own the best gun? Yes: equip it. No: try to get it." The Vulcan is pretty garbage right now, and I don't know enough to comment on the NC one.

The best part about it is that it has very predictable/low drop and zero recoil making it absolutely fantastic in most scenarios. For the Vanguard, you're essentially putting that tiny lightening on a MBT.

Nerfing the Suaron would mean putting all tanks at a "kinda Meh" level where you pull them out for a bit, get blown up and continue hot-footing it around as a Heavy Assault or possibly engineer popping other tanks like there's no tomorrow. It really doesn't need a buff, however the other enforcer, the shotgun one, is pretty worthless with the fury just being better in every situation, it could use some love.

They're amazing at anti-vehicle and amazing at anti-infantry.
Well, joined a random pub platoon, flew around with their group for a bit, then when my mossy got shot down I hopped into some guys battle galaxy. I didn't know until we were in the air that the pilot was a stoner, which made the experience so much better. We landed just outside of the fight and he yelled over proxy chat "ALL RIGHT MOTHERFUCKERS GET IN WE'RE GOING OVER THE WALL!" and we got a damn near full load for the galaxy to go jump into the fray. It was bad ass. Until a second later the galaxy plowed itself into the ground. Then it was just hilarious. Best day of planetside I've had in a long while.

Yeah, I could see some blanket improvements coming in the next 3 months.

I'm looking forward to making it so resources actually matter actually I don't think simply making tanks and stuff more expensive is the solution though, might be a decent temporary solution but not ideal. My biggest issue with resources at the moment is that it's basically a second timer. You already have a timer on your vehicles that you can reduce with certs. Why then do resources only prevent you from pulling a tank when the timer already fills that role? It's like a timer that is shared between all ground vehicles instead of just one asset. I dunno, I guess I can see the point in that but it doesn't seem very solid. There's gotta be a better way. I'd rather something happen where timers are completely removed and there's only resources, but a single tank might set you back 550 or so. It seems all my bitter comments have come to fruition when I yell about sliding down mountains/hills/everything like in tribes. Also, the reason they had an actual time limit in addition to the resource costs of vehicles was to get players to use their vehicles more wisely and punish overly aggressive behavior. While the cost of the vehicle is going to be much more of a consideration now, I would rather not VS being able to pull another saron harasser immediately after they just lost their first one.

Doesn't it go like 6 second duration and 14 second recharge to 8/12 from first to second level then something like 18 duration/10 recharge to 30 duration/6 recharge from second last to last level?
