I cry whenever I see a VS gun shoot faster than its TR counterpart
SOE knew that people used NV only to spot infantry because it was never dark enough to be useful So what did they do? Make it not highlight infantry and make it even worse when it gets slightly darker than usual
It still highlights infantry, what are you talking about? EDIT: Oh wait you were talking about vehicle NV. Never mind.
I cry whenever I see a VS gun shoot faster than its TR counterpart
SoE never seem to get Vanu right... Based on that NC seem to be best at Long/Short(Shotguns and sniper rifles) ranged engagements and TR seem to have Mid ranged dominance(mostly accurate and high RoF), The vanu SHOULD in theory beat the TR at long/shot and the NC at mid, assuming a half competent player who plays to the weakness of his enemy. That ain't the case, the game is basically a clusterfuck of "I have best weapon. I WIN!"
VanuLabs has found the Orbital strikes in the game files by the looks of it. Pretty boring right now and obviously incomplete (Only the VS one looks like it's anywhere near what the finished product will look like) but as a bonus those definitely seem to be Hossins skybox and ambient sounds in the video. Ah yeah the guy who posted the videos confirmed that they are from Hossin, the sky is Hossin at dusk. it'll be cool if you could cert into different patterns. Like creeping, area of denial or an alpha strike or something.
For those who play Mattherson as either NC or TR, I think this is relevant. I took this from my recent action chart. (good god VS population)

Slightly less so when you inevitably get blown up, but oh well.
Mmm that alert on Mattherson Amerish, 15%ish TR. Pretty much fought right next to the warpgate for the alert.

Was expecting the NC one to just be a bunch of shotguns raining from the sky that discharge when they hit the ground.
Was expecting the NC one to just be a bunch of shotguns raining from the sky that discharge when they hit the ground.
They drop millions of nVida install disks from orbit. "Mass Drivers"
What a perfect timing on my part to get into the game again after a short break. Login servers are down, and appear to be down for every SOE game out there. Yaaay SOE. Smells like a a big fat sign for me: nope, wait a bit more m8.

It was a lot of fun and pretty intense. This is the kind of thing that's missing with the lattice on indar that is present with hexes and was present to a lesser degree in the PS1 lattice, that I wish indar had. Of course the moment I mention this to the general public I get spammed with brainless spergs who go "womg why would you ever not want to constantly be in a massive zerg battle lol thats the whole point go back to playing CoD noob..."
what's the other 5%?
the whole thing is a little mislabeled what it was showing was NC 0 VS 5 TR 1 4th Faction 94
I wish nights were dark enough to warrant the use of flashlights.
Flashlight is currently hilarious, it's basically a "oh it's that guy with a flashlight" marker. I mean, you're there on your tank, sieging this enemy hex alongside foot soldiers, and theres this single guy with a flashlight and you never lose track of him because he's the only one using that thing in the game it's funny, i can imagine it being useful for you to draw attention of your teamates to yourself so they'll remind to help you if they see that "the guy with a flashlight" is in trouble.
I'm seeing a lot more people using the MCG, so I gave the Jackhammer a go since I haven't tried it out since the patch. It's official: Jokehammer is now the Lolhammer.

First shots are pinpoint and damaging (first shot has a 3x multiplier), then ramps up to squad oblitirator in less than 2 seconds. Not to mention the sweet, sweet sound effects whilst you're dakka'ing everyone.
Bought Breaker rocket pods with Station Cash for my Reaver so I could focus certs on airframe upgrades Fear the sky bitches, I'm watching. Those things are awesome, so much easier than 2-3 cannon strafing runs to down a sundie.
why would you buy rocket pods crashing your plane into the enemy is more effective
why would you buy rocket pods crashing your plane into the enemy is more effective
It really is, I've taken out whole burster congregations by slamming my ESF into them at just the right angle, sadly you can't get an auraxiam medal for the bottom of your ESF.

I figured a way to be able to play this game. I now play on Waterson, on a US server as a Eurofag, so when I play during the day it is not so populated and my CPU doesn't eat its own feces. Yay!
God damn kids and their rap music.
Sounds like they're throwing a party in that sundy with some sweet bumps. :v:
It really is, I've taken out whole burster congregations by slamming my ESF into them at just the right angle, sadly you can't get an auraxiam medal for the bottom of your ESF.
Well generally when I play with the Devil Dogs, we have liberators for area denial and anti-infantry, with most of the reavers concentrating on enemy air, then moving on to ground targets (primarily skyguards, tanks, and sundies)
God damn kids and their rap music.
The gunshots really give it that authentic "hood" feel.
God damn kids and their rap music.
Where IS the hood, anyways?
