With the Artic there is plenty of space. Paradox always cuts that area out.

Even so, the name fitting isn't the entirety of the issue, it just looks so WRONG to have that massive plot of land NOT BELONGING TO RUSSIA. Hell, even if just the northern half, from where the tips of Mongolia and Kazakhstan join to the north Caspian sea were part of Russia, it would look SO MUCH BETTER.

oh your first paradox stroke, eh? there will be many more strokes to come, don't worry.
Just bought Crusader Kings II and most of the DLC. Going to begin building my own Mongol Empire.
Hail to the Khan, baby.
Does anyone else look at Kazahkstan on a modern map and just cringe. It's just this fucking massive chunk out of Russia that totally fucks up where you can put the name.
It bothers me.
I think I play Paradox games too much because I'm always shocked when I look at a modern political map.
Like "wtf, there are two Koreas?" or "why aren't Slesvig and Skåne in Denmark?"

Whenever I get off of a Vicky 2 game I just sort of look at the modern Balkans and throw up in my mouth a little bit.
The modern day mod for Vicky 2 is a cure for that though, I can fix those godawful borders!
germany needs to reclaim prussia
Die Germans and Slavs would most certainly be capable on steamrolling the rest of the world even today.
I've got 6 hours to kill tonight. I think im going to start up IV, press the random nation button and do my best to make it top 10.
I hope you got something silly and impossible.
Can someone explain to me why England is an Elective Monarchy? What fun is it to conquer it as William and then have your "heir" voted out by the native Anglo-Saxons who just happen to resent their Foreign Conqueror King.

For me, usually, England is automatically changed to Gavelkind or one of those
Been playing some eu4 today and i was allied with Austria as Hungary and in a war against Burgundy and some other small nations with Austria being the war leader on our side. Anyway Burgundy was steamrolling Austria and destroyed my army, when suddenly i get the event the king of burgundy dies, and Austria inherited it thus ending the whole war...
Guess who just got HOI3 Collection?

Your Grandma?
Guess who just got HOI3 Collection?
A nostalgic ww2 vet you know?
I love how out-of-control eugenics programs can get.
Before my Emperor got a mouthful of poisoned veal, I had a retinue commanded by him and his sons that had a collective martial score of 83, with the Emperor alone sporting 31 martial.
I had Nazis infiltrate right-wing political groups and start a revolt.
It got crushed faster than Tiananmen Square.

I got Connacht in Ireland. It didn't work out well.

Why would you infiltrate right-wing groups as Nazis?
That's like trying to mix fruit juice and vomit

Prussian nationalists have risen up in the German Empire.
Playing CK2 with the SWMH mod and some others.
I started as Venice, 1066. And by 1400 I pretty much have all of central europe under my control. It's pretty great.
Russia got it's shit together really early on and has prevented a lot of mongols, there were never any crusades, the HRE somehow dissolved like really early on which explains the central europe thing, (I basically stop after getting all of poland and my borders stretch down from there to the former austria hungary borders). A lot of the growth had to do with vassals having claims and such, and through distribution of titles, there's very much a lot of regional powers. Some are really odd because of how they had claims and I acted on them to grow, (Urbino-Sanmarino grew to have Provence, someparts of alpine italy, burgundy france, border from france to spain, etcetc lots of weird thing).
I'll post pics later, but it was probably one of my better games.
Has some funny things, like Grandmaster Michael Ironsides of the knights Hospitalers. My greatgrandsons were twins, one of them retarded and the other a fucking genius.

This is the very reason why every time I play Crusader Kings I always start the game from 1099~1120

For some reason I'm reminded of this.

So playing as Pagan Mali, any tips for expanding out of the claustrophobic little hole that you start in? I want to go to war with the neighboring sultanate but I just got my shit slapped when I tried.

The Umayyads tend to implode within 50 years.
The Umayyads are in the process of imploding, but there's a more direct sultanate nearby that's more significantly stable.

All hail grandmaster Michael Ironside.
Oh yeah, and my heir, my grandson, is my nephew-grandson.

SWMH and the Project Balance mod, which makes it so that republics are super fucking toned down.
I did good.
