What if it gives you the ability to have more control over your character.
I mean they said it does away with provinces, so maybe you're able to play as your dude in their capital?
Then again that's way too much work for an expansion, especially an expansion for something like CK2.
Hindustan maybe?
Hindustan would be fucking beast.

Wait no this isn't the same thing. Nero and Armstrong are new games, and there won't be provinces in Nero.
Maybe China? You could be the next Cao Cao.
What if it's actually the New World, complete with an alternate political landscape if you have Sunset Invasion activated.

When are we actually going to find out what they are? I could've sworn I heard a week ago it was going to be revealed any day now.

Fucking fuck thanks for making me screw up the numbers.
Huh? How does that confirm HoI4? Politics and espionage were happening looooong before WW2, and are still happening to this day.
If anything that hints more towards CK2 as both of those are massive parts of the game.
I'm not sure how rockets relate to medieval Europe, unless there's some linguistical subtlety that they've exploited.

But it's a new game, not a DLC. That's why the CK2 and EU eras are pretty much ruled out.

It could be Classical Era.
It could be Classical Era.
Still doesn't fit with rockets, unless its something bizarrely subtle like DVH said.
Please be a new HOI, it'd be sweet if provinces had more in depth control, like smaller hexes within each one.

Jesus christ no :v:
It's detailed enough already, there are plenty of others things to improve, making the game even more of a microfest is not a requirement.
CkII in Asia would be pretty awesome. China, Japan, Vietnam, Tibet and Mongolia would all work out fine with a few minor mechanics.

Yeah you're right I guess I've been playing to much Unity of Command and other hex games, however the terrain is horribly modeled and provinces make it way too gamey, like defending copenhagen against the Reich forever among other things. However I'd like to see gameplay overhauls. Also the weather system needs to actually do something this time like they promised in 3.

It's hard to make it fine grained enough though, if you for example divided each province into 4 "sub modules" now, what do you think would happen if you tried to organize a defence on the eastern front for example? :v:
Would be impossible to manage in the scale that HoI sits.
But as you said, for other regions it's a problem that it becomes too gamey in smaller countries.
Well, can't say I'm too worried about HOI4 but Runemaster has definitely piqued my curiosity.

For which game? Victoria 2 to HOI4?
According to tweets from various people
The Map looks great
AI Will follow your battle plans (I remember EvW team saying they were doing something similar..?)
Political game fleshed out. Political leaders are fewer, but more important. Ideas you can unlock & implement.
Strategic Warfare. Not everything is on a single-province level. E.g. air raids & submarine stuff can happen over larger areas instead of province-by-province micro.
More focus on playability, slightly easier learning curve

The Paradox twitter says we'll see the map "Soon"
I'm pretty excited about HoI4. I wanted to get into HoI3 recently but now I thing I'll wait for the new one since it'll probably be way less clunky.
I don't really care about Runemaster so far though, I'm more looking forward to the CK2 and EU4 DLCs.
I hope the map won't be Mercator projection.
