My Hearts of Iron Italy game. Not sucky ass Italians. I whooped ass in Africa and in southern France and generally it was not hard but tiring. Basically, I will annex Iberia+Vichy France(I actaully controlled Syria and entirety of Southern France too! Main concerns right now are garrisoning all this land, making a second navy(1 of 16 ships, a very good one but still), rebuilding marines and making a bigger airforce. Objectives are going to be to annex Arabia,Persia,India, parts of Soviet union and of course annex Iberia+Vichy and make Romania a puppet. Later on an invasion of the USA and Americas.

I can't remember if TFH changed it or not (and I can only speak for vanilla AI) but placing garrisons there automatically deters ai from making invasions. And if you think partisans will be a problem then throw in a military brigade or two to lower revolt risk.
Would you guys recommend Crusader Kings II or Europa Universalis IV?
Would you guys recommend Crusader Kings II or Europa Universalis IV?
yes
i just picked up the HoI 3 ftm and tfh dlc whats the fastest way to reduce neutrality? should i prioritise spies and set set all ally/comintern to increase threat
i just picked up the HoI 3 ftm and tfh dlc whats the fastest way to reduce neutrality? should i prioritise spies and set set all ally/comintern to increase threat
Raise the threat level of your immediate neighbors, but yeah that is also another way of doing it.
is that different than what i am doing?
is that different than what i am doing?
I do believe threat is tied closey to distance, amongst other factors so yes.
denmark and czechoslovakia fell pretty fast but when i tried to take poland i wasnt really getting any where, i think i might have had the wrong unit composition, it was all most all infantry and very few tanks no arty
yes

Both.
I kinda don't have enough money for both at the moment - which is easier for a beginner to get into?
I kinda don't have enough money for both at the moment - which is easier for a beginner to get into?
EU IV tends to be the "beginner" series out of all the paradox games, but CK II isn't hard to get into either. Do you want to play a medieval king who slaughters everyone and all his children if they're not good enough, or a country that could rule the world and not deal with the petty bureocratic affairs of your kingdom?

So CK II is the better bet?
So CK II is the better bet?
It also has much higher modding potential. The Elder Kings and Game of Thrones mods stand out in particular.
I'd say pick CK2 if you want an immersive experience and just like to sit back and watch crazy stuff happen to NPCs, and pick EU4 if you prefer solid game mechanics and more strategical depth. EU4 is like Civilization and CK2 is like Dwarf Fortress (sort of).
^ How is this dumb? Obviously it's an exaggeration to compare the games to Civ and DF but that was just a way to explain the differences between them.
^ How is this dumb? Obviously it's an exaggeration to compare the games to Civ and DF but that was just a way to explain the differences between them.
You're not allowed to compare the all-perfect Grand Strategy to any plebian games. I'm from /gsg/ and that's all I know how to do, beep boop. No not really, it's ok to compare. Those two are just being dicks.
In your V2 games, Bavaria might become a great power, messing up your influence and generally being dicks for half a year before a proper GP like Sweden or so dethrones them. Add the rest of the SGF when you're playing Austria and this problem only becomes bigger. To dodge this I have become the SGF myself! I honestly don't care if he was comparing the difference between the games, because like you said that's okay. Also was that /gsg/ comment suppose to be directed at me, because I rarely find myself going in the actual /gsg/ threads nowadays. I mostly hang about in the shitty cesspool steam group that nobody likes, however.
The Game of Thrones mod is really fun only gripe i have about it is that you can kill dragons using plots, and they don't even change the prompts its still the normal ambush with bandits and the carriage off the cliff, which doesn't really make sense.

"Why thank you" "GOD FUCKING DAMNIT I'M DROPPING OFF A CLIFF IF ONLY I HAD WINGS"
Aw man, I know it's not much, but I got one of my Cardinals to be pope in CKII. It's a bit of an accomplishment for me :P
Speaking of Elder Kings: is anyone else having trouble with everyone becoming vampires (and I literally mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THE CONTINENT)?
Victoria II is on sale right now, should I give in to my temptation and buy it?
You're not allowed to compare the all-perfect Grand Strategy to any plebian games.
Wow, Geez. No need to call CK2 and EU2 pleb games. I know Vic2 is superior to both of them, but geesh.
is government in exile usual in HoI3? i presume i still get there IC although i have taken denmark. poland lithuania and czechoslovakia and it hasnt gone up
