I'm trying to play Darkest Hour but I seriously have no clue what I'm doing. For some reason, my planes won't shoot down the British bombers despite me ordering them to establish air superiority. I also don't know what my army composition should be. It's a real mess.
Air superiority essentially tell your aircraft to fly around a region and pew any enemy they encounter. Problem is that they don't encounter anything. Try building radar and using Air Scramble missions. If that don't work, use more fighters.
Division composition is pretty debatable, just look at your techs, unit stats and the enemy to see what you need. There's no "golden division".
LOL

Characters with religious traits should be impossible to convert.

Is that a mod? (Referring the countries on the map). If so, which one?
the SWMH mod.
the SWMH mod.
[del]I don't know, I can't make out the country names very well because of the quality, doesn't seem like any of them are localized.[/del]
e: Oh it is SWMH, couldn't make out most of the names like 'West Francia' too well.
Huh so in EU4 when I try to do the "vassalize or leave HRE" reform, I don't get the claims on those that leave
Had a really bizarre CK2 session yesterday. Was playing with a friend as Castile and Leyn, when suddenly 5 different wars, surrendered, part of HRE. But you just have to look at the map:

Scotlandinople.
Did that happen to anyone else?
Basically, Sunset Invasion event triggers. They decided to attack Castile, and thats who I am playing as.
The attack had when another vassal and I were rebelling against HRE, he was the leader of the revolt.
I hastily assasinated him, civil war ended, and since there is no independent Castile, so did Aztec Invasion war. Now there are 164k Aztec troops just chilling on the coast of Spain. What'll happen to them?

Usually, err, nothing :v:
Not until they call in another invasion, but most of the time they stay still
Can they do anything? Wouldn't they have troops in foreign provinces blocking CBs?

Cool, hopefully they'll die from starvation.
Played CK2 for a few hours starting in the 800s. Played till 888 and took over most of Norway and became the king of it. Pretty fun to just take shit over when you want to be king. Was pretty neat since I haven't ever played this style game before. My first ruler is getting old now though, he will probably die soon. (He is 59, I think that is probably pretty old back then..) Already had like 3 kids die though, so not sure how having a ruler that is a kid works, but Ill find out. (one of my babys was assassinated.. Sad.) My oldest kid (Like 8 years old) died from pneumonia randomly so that sucks.
I have claim on these two areas, but I can't go to war because it says that they are independent, I'm not sure what to do about that.. :words:
[editline]10th March 2014[/editline]
do ships do anything besides transport my troops and any loot I gain from raiding places? Like, is there ship combat? Also a lot of the time I forget to have my ships back in a port and just have them in the body of water connected to my land and it makes me lose half of them when I lower the levy.. Annoying. I didn't even know it was happening for a while.

Do you mean that they aren't independent? To claim a province you have to declare war on the owner's highest liege (may or may not be themselves).

Oh, I see. That was it.
Also i did it and it went horribly wrong.
[editline]10th March 2014[/editline]
So now I am trying to raid places, but now it is saying that my units are in friendly lands, where before I could just go to a place with a different religion and just fuck shit up, I went to one with a different religion and it is saying that. I can't activate the looting thing now.
I am negative in money, I need to loot places.

You need to toggle looting status from within your territory.
I finally finished my Zoroastrian game in EU4, the one that started like this:
[T]http://u.cubeupload.com/Kljunas/harald.png[/T]
Those were 954 years of pure madness. While I was conquering Europe and replacing Catholic kingdoms with Zoroastrian ones, Orthodoxy was becoming pretty popular in the east, even though the Eastern Roman Empire had stopped existing. Russia always remained pagan though.
This was the situation in 1444:
[T]http://u.cubeupload.com/Kljunas/2013081300002.jpg[/T] [T]http://u.cubeupload.com/Kljunas/2013081300001.jpg[/T]
My objectives were to fix borders and contain Italy, and I didn't want to expand besides colonisation. As expected, more madness ensued.
In the end I was sort of successful at containing Italy but central Europe remained a mess of permanently contested territory, and by weakening Italy I created a monstrous Poland. Also even the most backwards countries became westernised powerhouses while France was content with Muslim tech.
Welcome to 1821:

I don't know how but in my Observe game in EU4 Mongol Khanate not only survived but took over all of China.
I mean... Seriously how the fuck.

ming is pretty weak
mongol khanates biggest obstacle is not ming, but rather manchu and oirat horde
What's the best way to increase military score in Victoria 2? I've played a full campaign as Afghanistan and the only thing that prevented me from westernization was an awfully low military score which suddenly jumped to high amounts at some point.
Playing vanilla, by the way.

Leadership and capital ships (like dreadnoughts) help too iirc, sorta forgot since I haven't played in a while. Also I think one of the military techlines involving supply adds to your score as well.
So how old do people generally get in CK2? My first ruler is 67 right now, and I am just waiting for one of these death notifications to be his. Old as fuck. Sucks that my heir is 8 years old. My first 3 kids died.
All of my kings die in combat because I insist they lead from the front, even if they're dribbling incompetents
[editline]10th March 2014[/editline]
I wish my kids would die though, I usually end up parcelling out baronies just to get rid of them
Also this fucker has 3 sets of twins, all girls.
