The new heresy for Nestorianism is the best religion ever:
The Messalians, or Euchites ("Those who Pray"), are a heretical Christian sect that originated in Mesopotamia, influenced by dualistic faiths like Zoroastrianism. Messalians believe that God can be perceived by the carnal senses, and that this perception is necessary to reach perfection. Each person is born with an inner demon, and only intense prayer can drive it out. They also believe that Lucifer is the elder son of God and a force for good, and that incest is sacred since it was practised by the children of Adam and Eve. They have no formal rites and no strict church hierarchy.
Defining features in-game:
- There is no religious head
- Messalians may install women as priests
- Rulers can marry close kin to improve vassal opinions
If you're playing with a mod or whatever (this might be just be CK2 though, dunno) it might aslo be in there.
Is it worth shelling out for Rajas of India? I'm not even going to play in India I just want to be a Buddhist. :v:
How can i increase my moral authority? I want to reform my faith but im a tiny bit short.
How can i increase my moral authority? I want to reform my faith but im a tiny bit short.
Which pagan are you?
Normally you can increase it by doing county conquests, as they raise authority by 1%
Raiding heathen temples also raises moral authority by 1% per temple.
Im a Suomiusko pagan(Estonians that is) I even have the Kingdom of Estonia and everything and enough sites(had to get one of out of the dirty Rus hands)

I was just wondering if the reform button was missing like it is for the Tengri. If they bring it back I'll abandon Islam for the raiding.
I love CK2 sometimes
Been playing as that rather big Punjab dukedom, I became independent in the 1110-1120s' when I peacefully broke off the Seljuks after they had a event where the ruling dynasty were overthrown, it's 1126-1127 now and some old fartbag wages a independence war against me, taking more than half the realm with him. I raised every man and his dog to fight the guy, my force totaled about 13k with merchs and such. The rebel count had something like 11k with him or so. Before I could consolidate my armies into one and launch a attack on his stack, the region reverts back to my country color and I get a popup saying "our enemy has died, the war is over." What a relief, right?
Immediately another independent faction is formed against me, and I stopped for the moment so no new events happened. I hope I another divine miracle happens again, I wasn't expecting it to form again so quickly and my coffers were drained from hiring a couple mercs.
Well i formed New Suomeinusko and all was well then the Dutchy of Prussia(as in the guy who runs it) Comes up and says this completly unrelated kid from norway is a better king than me. So i say no and half the country is now in civil war. I though i was fucked but shortly after a Order was formed and i managed to get them to help me and now im slapping the rebel and heretics shit. This game is FUCKING awsome.

Actually i was a bit wrong it was a civil war to lower crown authority.
Snip
The Ilkhanate converted to Buddhism in my handsoff CK2

Good going Paradox.
2 things, they forgot to add "miaphysite" as a convertible religion in the EU4 Converter so it and its heresies comes out as 'noreligion' in EU4, and they also forgot to add a Religious Icon for 'Jain' so it shows up as the Catholic Cross.
[editline]27th March 2014[/editline]
Oh I see the problem with miaphysite, they made it a unique religion with ROI, pre-ROI it just turned into Orthodox when converted.

Here is a result of my first Hands off ROI game starting at 867. Going to hands off it in EU4

wow those borders actually aren't too bad
wow those borders actually aren't too bad
Oh and that was started in 867, not 1066.
Russia started off as Tiny Ruthania, which then get big, absorbed Rus and then formed Russia.
[editline]27th March 2014[/editline]
Here is how it looks converted to EU4 in all the jpeg compressed goodness

Both Byzantium and Bulgaria had low crown authority so they were split into vassals like the HRE is.
wow those borders actually aren't too bad
I was going to agree, then I saw Bulgaria.
I know I'm late but can I just say how fucking bummed I am that east vs. west is cancelled for good? I have zero interest in Hearts of Iron IV because thematically it's the same game from the past three. The Cold War would have been a nice change of pace.
Is anyone else having problems with the "straighten up" option? I can't do it, even if I haven't done it on characters yet.
It worked for me, though it was a bit strange because it just made my brothers decadence just go to zero immediately with out any sort of event-popup

Maybe my game's bugged, then. I can't talk to them, because it says I've already spoken to them, which I obviously haven't. :/

Looks like the king of Germany conquered it. Not sure how he got a claim if he wasn't a Karling but the French vassals will probably press someone else's claim eventually.
I'm going to guess that a Karling king of East Francia inherited West Francia and kept East Francia as his primary title, and then eventually it got passed down to an non-dynastic heir, which changes the name of East Francia to Germany if not a Karling. Check the king's page and look at his titles and I'll bet the Kingdom of France is after the Kingdom of Germany
Oh cool they finally made a Saxon unit pack
You know, I don't think I've ever seen a non-developer unit pack. Can you even make custom ones?
So I was talking with my therapist today, and I brought up how I feel like I have a fear of doing poorly on anything, or making any sort of mistake and brought up how games like Total War and CKII made me realize this.
His solution; No matter what happens in a game of CKII, keep playing and power on through, even if it means I lose a single province. Like his goal for me is to go from TOG start to the end. so basically I've been advised to play CKII, gg.

That's a pretty great therapist you have there.

be sure to play ironman and never give up
I'm still waiting for Paradox to patch these minor issues, can't understand why they haven't.
I also can't play Ironman for achievements since this update, and given the random crashes I get now it's not worth it.
