Bought Hearts of iron III yesterday and so far I am just watching some tutorial. It does seem like it will be very fun once I kinda know how stuff works.

I couldn't help much since their armies seem stronger than mine, probably due to technology, but fucking still i can't be arsed to beat countries by myself, like when i sent the army through god knows who to defend the Pope

Yeah, I got no clue what's up with that list. Some elements are fairly well present, but others are not. I don't think anyone actually composed a proper list of names to begin with, as we still lack the names of all the colonial provinces(and some mod states).

Is there stuff I should know about making divisions in HOI III? I know some things like movement speed reductions (speed is set to slowest unit in division) and combined arms bonus. If you're fighting Germany make sure to have a lot of TDs and AT units. I'd suggest a mobile army if you're rolling with a blitz tactic but you're probably not playing on HPP so there's that.

Is it just me, or does Germany (AI) in Victoria 2 end up being one of the most useless military forces on the planet? They refuse to attack [B]OR[/B] defend. I've seen Germany end up being #2 military score, and France as #8 (revolutions killed a lot of soldier pops). France, solo, declares war on Germany for Alsace Lorraine. They win the war in under 5 months. I used "debug fow" for a small portion just to see what was going on. Germany stacked its ENTIRE military in Berlin and then refused to advance at all. It drives me fucking nuts

did you happen to tag switch from them at some point? Sometimes using the console to switch countries will break the military AI of the one you switch to. Maybe we should just use 'Canada'. Canada IRL is a Constitutional Monarchy (Thats what HM's Government is supposed to be), but you don't call us a Kingdom.

All the monarchies can have their own names in V2, they are not shared. Britain in default V2, becomes the 'British Empire' when it is a AM, staying that when it goes PC, then changes to United Kingdom when it hits HMs
