haha wow
reformed lithuania has more heretics tolerance than correct religion tolerance
[editline]31st May 2014[/editline]
and i get fervor system + holy war CB on everybody. (almost no one goes reformed)
the only thing that sucks is that my religion map mode will be ugly
looks like HRE has changed a bit:
You don't get IA for enforcing peace in the realm (easy 20 each), but you also don't lose any if a country changes their religion.
Man colonial nations are weird, its nice to not have to worry too much about them but its a pain in the ass to have almost no control over them.

Also managed to get ming in a personal union of mine as Japan, ho boy this is gonna be good, they own like most of asia and some of europe.

How the hell did Ming get that powerful? They seem to almost always collapse. Can you show a picture?
Sure let me take a screenshot, gimme a minute.
Been playing as Japan since the start, friend was playing as Korea.

Ming has been weird.
They never had any rebel issues yet, only really minor ones. They also defeated the oriat and tibet many many times.
In another 30-40 years I'll try to integrate the fuckers.
Also, japanese alaska too strong. :v:

I also own australia and pockets of the randomised south america, as well as a majority of the ocean islands such as Fiji etc.
I was playing some HoI 3 with friends and the one who was playing the Soviet Union took over Finland but all of his troops somehow got stuck there and Germany just steamrolled through and conquered the Soviet Union

He probably forgot to transit troops back to the main border rapidly enough, or the infra damage caused by partisans and warfare isolated his armies. The USSR does have an issue where, unless the player knows how to stabilize it's production, can easily have it's front collapse against Germany, though I've seen mods like HPP reduce that chance.

Is there a way to integrate/annex colonial nations? Or do I have to release them and conquer/vassalize them?
Also in wars that I'm called in through an alliance, does the AI factor in how much you help? If I'm allied with austria and they just win the war by themselves and I don't help, is there a negative opinion penalty or something?

Uh as far as I know the only way seems to be if they start a war for independence or if you release them.
I think depending on your contribution you get a relation bonus for helping in a war. There is a flat rate merely just for joining them in it.

Haven't tried it myself yet. I'm close to wrapping up my ck2-eu4 megacampaign (it's c.1777), it's just lately I can't bring myself to finish the last 40ish years.
Hmm, the application just keeps crashing when I run it...
Is the Wealth of Nations DLC worth the price for what it adds to the game?
Could anyone convert my EU4 save to V2 for me? I can't get it to work.
Hmm, the application just keeps crashing when I run it...
Did you put this between Ck2 converter and Vicky2 documents folder in the config file? It should look like this;
# Victoria 2 Documents directory: a path on your computer where Victoria 2 keeps temporary files
V2Documentsdirectory = "A:\My Docs\Paradox Interactive\Victoria II"
# V2 Game Type: what version of V2 to convert to. Possible values:
# vanilla vanilla V2 (1.x)
# AHD A House Divided (2.x)
# HOD Heart of Darkness (3.x)
V2gametype = "HOD"
# CK2Converted: Whether or not the mod was converted from CK2. Possible values:
# yes
# no
CK2Converted = "yes"
I had the same problem trying to do a test convert for my game, but now I get hung on the "Reading EU4 common\countries" problem some people have reported happing to them. The guy over at the converter thread is aware and fixed it for the next version.
How is the EU4toV2 converter even going to handle non-tagged countries left over from CK2?

[ERROR] No Victoria 2 documents directory was specified in configuration.txt, or the path was invalid
[editline]2nd June 2014[/editline]
Fixed it lol, I had typed Victoria II instead of Victoria 2 in the config.
How is the EU4toV2 converter even going to handle non-tagged countries left over from CK2?
It reads the mod files from the CK2-EU4 conversion.
It finished converting and made an output folder, what the fuck do I do with it?
It finished converting and made an output folder, what the fuck do I do with it?
5. Go into the output folder, then the subfolder named after your save.
6. Copy the folder named after your save and the corresponding mod file into your V2 mod folder.
7. Start that copy of Victoria 2, and select the mod.

C:\Users\Jesper\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Victoria 2\mods
Put it in the steam vick2 mod folder
There ain't one there, and making one doesn't work either.
There ain't one there, and making one doesn't work either.
The folder should be in the game's root folder. It's called "mod", and has a dummy file sitting in it.
F:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Victoria 2\mod
I put the save folder in there
Ugh, playing as Spain in EU4 i can't build the Panama canal because i don't own the provinces, my colonial nation does... What can i do?
F:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Victoria 2\mod
I put the save folder in there
And it doesn't appear? Did you forget the corresponding .mod file by any chance?
Yeah I did... I declare my self an idiot.
So it shows up in the dropmenu and I selected it and started the game.
What now?
Ugh, playing as Spain in EU4 i can't build the Panama canal because i don't own the provinces, my colonial nation does... What can i do?
wait for a patch or pause, give your colonial nation money, save, load as your colonial nation, build the canal, save, reload as spain
Done with EU portion of megacampaign

I'm not sure what I should do next. I wanted to settle in Egypt at first but I really can't fight the Abassids (yet).
