The leader of the Ultimate mod had to leave for personal issues and that makes me the highest ranking person on the team.
God damn it.
What are the chances to coup in HoI3? I coup'd France as Germany 4 times and all of them failed even though my party was the most popular by a lot.
Does anyone want a free copy of Crusader Kings II? An extra just randomly popped up in my Steam inventory when I got the game just now.

I'd really appreciate it. I spent my money Europa Universalis IV And Vicky II in the weekend sale and got really upset to see Crusader Kings II, a game I'd rather have then Europa Universalis IV and Vicky II.

Send gifts to the rest of the team so they don't join factions

Where are your legions?
Apparently there is Victoria 2 collection on sale for 10 USD/GBP/EUR: http://www.bundlestars.com/store/victoria-collection/
I couldn't resist and finally got the expansions after 110 hours of playing. Now things are going to get even more interesting.
And the worst thing is that I'm having a difficult exam on Friday, which means I won't be able to spend an entire afternoon on checking the expansions out.

How do the keys work with these bundles? Do I get keys for each individual expansion?
If so I'll buy it and give away a Vicky 2.

You just get one key for everything, unfortunately.
You just get one key for everything, unfortunately.
So if I wanted to gift this to my brother would it still work even though he already owns only the base game?

Hot damn that's a bargain! Thanks for the heads up!

It should just give him everything he doesn't own, so yes.

Just like it was said in the post above, yes. I did that and it only added the expansions and DLC's.

Ireland was really zealous that game. They also had Southern France in a Crusade two centuries earlier but couldn't hold on to them like they did with the Baltics.

Scotland and England had their fair share of adventures as well. Actually, all three had staked their claim in Southern France at different intervals. Scotland was the first beginning in 1184, just a few decades after the French disintegrated into nothingness. They would hold onto Southern France until around 1208 as seen above. I also guess I was wrong about them getting it in a crusade; I honestly can't tell how the Irish got to possess Southern France, since there's a gap in my saves between 1194 and 1238.
But either way Ireland would lose their holdings to the English by 1238. England also got the Levant in a crusade around the same time, but sadly they would lose possession of both by 1266; a Toulouse dukedom and a small Auvergne duchy formed in Southern France and the Levant was lost to the Scottish. Toulouse naturally absorbed it's neighbor by the following decade and they would strive until the Pisans and Danes conquered them by 1405.
The English kingdom ceased to exist by 1349; the Danes having conquered all of Albion. Or at least almost all of it, since there was Imperial provinces in Southern England dating as far back as the early 12th century because of a crusade(??). Although the Scotts would be more lucky, having survived as the Kingdom of Jerusalem until sometime in the 17th century, when the crusader state fell for good to Egyptian forces. Though by that time the Dane's power was waning and they were quickly losing grip because of the reemergence of Scottish and English kingdoms, and a powerhungry Swede back at home.
ok thats enough bad storytelling for the day
I've been playing as the last Zoroastrian Satrap available in the old gods start. Life's pretty good considering that I managed to nab one and a half satrapy(a holy site included) from a Sultanate in religious turmoil and the Saffirid Shahdom, which is controlling most of Persia and almost all of Afghanistan.
Now, truces have been made, and I fought in two wars against the Saffirids. However, there's a little issue that, as long as Shah and and I are alive, we will be hell bent on murdering each other in Jihad. Why's that? Well, aside from me having another territorial claim that could further cleave his quasi-empire in half, the fact of the matter is that because the provinces he owns in his realm directly border my realm, capital and all. At the moment I managed to kill one of his wives, two of his infant children, a few feudal lords, and some other courtiers, all either by accident or by directly executing them. Now he's out for blood, and I have to constantly bankrupt myself so the Persian Army three times as big as mine doesn't steamroll me. To top it all off, the Tengri tribe north of me felt it'd be fun to invade me at the same time the Shah does.
Think I'll be able to make it to 1444?
How do you raise the Diplomacy stat in Crusader Kings II?
How do you raise the Diplomacy stat in Crusader Kings II?
You can either raise it by character ambition or by tutoring your heir with someone that has a high diplomacy skill.
Anyone know of some good guides/tutorials for V2?
I bought the whole package recently on Bundle Star, previously only had vanilla V2, so now's my time to play it properly.
Also how good are the converters between V2 and HOI3 and is it easier to convert from EU3 to V2 or EU4 to V2?

Also how good are the converters between V2 and HOI3 and is it easier to convert from EU3 to V2 or EU4 to V2?
Converter for vic2-hoi3 is utterly shit, not to mention the support for it is pretty much dead, the only real way you can port your save is to hand convert it all. Which is ridiculously easy to do, but very fucking tedious and time consuming, for me anyway. Mind you I'm not trying to discourage, if you think you're up for it then go ahead.
EU3-VIC2 is good, arguably the best out of all of them. But I can't comment on the EU4-VIC2 converter myself just yet.
You'll probably need to roll back to pre-Rajas if you plan on playing to EU3. Rajas, at least for me, doesn't seem to be compatible with the converter so it won't work. So it's either that or you use the EU4 converter (which PI did a sloppy job with) or hand converting.
The Khivan Shahdom lives on!

These were a bloody 35 years, whose era was marked by the rule of Vandad Ironside. I was engaged in at least a dozen or so wars, all ending with either relative peace, a large bonus to my piety and prestige, and the one thing I was so eager to do: Expand the Zoroastrian lands and create a true kingdom to succeed Persia. Now I stand on cautious ground, as the Tengri to my North threaten invasion and the Muslims seek to regain what they lost all those years ago. Even though the Saffarids have all but collapsed in the recent years, causing further expansion of Khivan Satraps, there is still an empire to be feared of in the West: The Abbasid Empire is very much interested in getting Persia under Muslim control before the Zoroastrian wave sweeps its way into the Persian Gulf, and such a task is something the current ruler of Khiva, Shahram, must achieve at all cost should he surpass his father in glory.
Not sure I'm good at playing EU4. Still don't know the best way to protect my country for wars when I can't make money quick enough to support the military.

Don't be afraid to dive a little into debt, loans wont absolutely kill you in this game. A gamey tactic that worked last time I played EU4 was to scorch earth the bordering provinces with the aggressor, it usually stops them from even attempting an invasion until the land is back to normal. This can basically win you a defensive war, just keep scorching it and watch the warscore tick up.
Is there a way to level up Admin tech faster? Every country I seem to play, I've never leveled up AT even once.
