I edited the House Divided Scenario to give the CSA all Tech and Inventions, plus 1mil in Cash. They won in 3 months, and now they're colonizing Africa with their ally France. Lets see how this turns out.

I decided to do a test run of Operation Unthinkable. Naturally I don't use AI control, but I've made an exception to see how well they could pull it off. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7536024/vidya%20gaymes/franch19.jpg[/t] Hostiles commenced back on July 7th, with ai controls set to specific VP points and at blitzkrieg stance. Within the first week of combat, I originally expected the Soviet armies to fold under pressure and order an general retreat to the Russo-Polish border, but that did not appear to happen. At the outbreak of the war, manpower reserves were originally 400+ and were being dried up at an alarmingly rate. When I first checked the reinforcements slider was in somewhere between 6-7, and by the last week it skyrocketed to a record-breaking 40+. Sometime in the latter phases of the offense I decided that the blitz was costing me more lives than it was worth, and I stepped down to Attacking stance, with the same specific VPs targeted, to see if there was any difference. Not surprisingly, the offense grounded to a absolute halt, and the Soviets actually counter-attacked here and there. Also, as you can see the ai thought it would be a good idea to march South to help the Czechs, so that's a factor with the war machine wearing down. I decided to stop at that point. Allied radar stations indicated that the Russians broke off their Mexican standoff with the Swedish and took the train South to deal with their new adversary. I figured that these reinforcements, coupled with the AI bizarrely stretching it's forces more than it should, would probably end up in strategic defeat, such as the Soviets overwhelming Germany and push me back to the Maginot line. I learned my lesson though, I'd probably need a few dozen more corps to make an offense into Warsaw territory truly effective.

Whenever I install HoI3 i'm like "Fuck yeah gonna start the longest campaign and soldier through this shit (hahaha pun) no matter what." Then, I stop playing and go to sleep and come back the next day and go "shit I have no drive to play this campaign again."

So obviously eh needs to set himself some house rules and an ultimate goal. i.e. no reloading saves, goal is to turn the whole world to his culture.
