Holy shit, I converted it. HRE is united as one nation
Today I learned the AI cannot enforce demands at 100% if it's a subjugation war.
I just worn a war of attrition against Hungary with its 30K doomstack; can't wait for Bulgaria to rip its ass apart now.

? How does that work?
Looking forward to seeing Paradox utilize more PC power in order to enhace economic and political simulations.
I already mention I was extremely excited by the air combat simulation shown in HOI4.
I can't imagine what will they do in the future with expansions or what they've got in store for VIC III
Oh my G *heart attack*
And look at the counters in the map. Have they gone for more macro regarding land combat?

When you zoom out counters combine if they overlap according to a dev in the thread.
So if you were to zoom out all the way, you would see the combined count of all your forces in one region.

Ace
Wonder if you can control somehow all the units or supplies with that mechanic.
so in Vicky 2 as Prussia I got into a war with Greece over paying back debts to me.
UK decided to join in with their ally Greece. Greece peaced out of the war, and it's just me my fuckton of allies vs. the UK. However, the UK has thrown like 7 30000 man stacks at me and I don't know where they're getting all of these from jesus christ and if my allies decided to help out and fight too it would be easy to beat them.
I also have like a warscore of 4%ish and everytime I defeat one army of theirs another pops up and oh god im going to die
rip Prussia
I don't know where they're getting all of these from jesus christ
I've seen the UK use a lot of Indian/Anglo-Canadian troops as fodder for their armies.
The UK always take a million troops from India to fight for them. They'll walk all the way through Asia if they have to.
Like I legitimately wouldn't mind it if my allies actually did something like band together against the UK. but im left fighting them on my own, and I had to resort to mobilization to keep my forces up, but even then im starting to lose.
Today I've finally started playing CK2. After the death of my first ruler, my glorious Greater Poland has split into two countries and now I have no idea what to do about Kuyavia. I can declare war on it, but I would like to annex it peacefully.
Also what can I do to prevent such splits? Is killing heirs the only option?

Don't have multiple titles of the same level (i.e. Duchies if you're a Duke or Kingdoms if you're a King) if your succession laws are gavelkind. Other than that, eliminate other potential heirs or take land without taking titles.
take land without taking titles.
How do I do that? Are there any articles about that on CK2 wiki?

It's because you have gavelkind succession. You can't kill your own heirs, but as your son you can kill your brother and his children until you inherit the split territory.
Once you get enough land to create the de jure kingdom of Poland you can increase your crown authority in the laws section. When you reach low crown authority and have ruled the kingdom for 10 years you can elect "Elective" Succession which lets you vote in the laws section on which child you want to inherit your kingdom, then he inherits everything. Though if your vassals don't like you they will vote for themselves instead, so beware of that. This is subjective but I usually get to high crown authority (you can only raise authority once per kings lifetime) and change my succession to prigimoture (any oldest child inherits all titles) and after that go down to medium, look at the other succession types if you don't want that one.
Since they're pagan I imagine you can put your ambition to create the Kingdom of Poland and as a pagan you will have unlimited casus belli inside the de jure kingdom ambition to regain the titles back.
How do I do that? Are there any articles about that on CK2 wiki?
It depends on the casus belli you are using. But as a pagan your options are a bit limited here so your top priority should be to form a kingdom. Your realm won't split if you have a single king-tier title to hold your duke-tier titles together.
I just united the country again and killed (by imprisoning first) all potential heirs but one. Now all the vassals hate me, though I guess everything will be all right once my current character dies. I think I'm just one province away from from forming Poland, so perhaps this will solve even more problems, like you guys just said.
Forming claims is a lenghty but fairly secure way of expanding.
Just destroy your second duke-tier title instead of slaughter, its easier
It's gavelkind, he can't.

What exactly are these referrals for?
Hearts of Iron 4 rewards, like the Europa Universalis IV ones.
Here's my referral, if anyone wants to use it.

oh my god in CKII my young leader's first regent was taken out of being a regent. After he left I got about 4 events in a row trying to kill me.
Didn't slip and fall off of the roof while cleaning bird poop.
Wasn't killed by angry peasants in the forest.
Wasn't killed in a tragic carriage accident.
Was crushed by a fat falling guard.
I want to change the default name of Louisiana to something more neutral (and keep Louisiana as a French-specific name) but I don't know what it could be called. Maybe just "North America"?

Not sure if I did it correctly since I had to create an account for it(my Paradox forum account didn't work on there).
If anyone would like to sign up through my link, it would be nice.
