did you not have auto save enabled? I have not played HOI3, but it should keep 3 auto saves if it is like the other recent PDX games.
did you not have auto save enabled? I have not played HOI3, but it should keep 3 auto saves if it is like the other recent PDX games.
Auto save is off by default. I made that mistake in my first single player game.
Is it best to get Darkest Hour or HoI3? I used to spend hours and hours in HoI2 and I want to play some more modern stuff after going through CK2 and EU4 recently.
I am excited.
There should be tiny provinces everywhere, as much as possible for more detail

HoI3 if you want to see what failure looks like.

HoI3 has the worst map I've ever seen from a Paradox game, everything is so squished, Key West is a peninsula instead of islands, and Alaska is a fucking stub.
Yeah Paradox ain't good at mapping, something is always off or in the wrong place
Kind of interesting they added wasteland tumor in the middle east.
From what I've seen and heard HoI4 seems to be simplified too much so I'm seriously expecting HoI3 to be the better game, at least until all the DLC comes out.
we'll see, right now it looks fucking shoddy, so i'm not expecting much unfortunately

I'm pretty excited because this could mean a CRAP TON of good things for Victoria. Imagine using the code and the improved engine to model migration, goods across markets, economic improvements in a population, etc etc. I'm extremely sure, that VIC III with DLCs will be one of, if not THE, the best strategy games ever.
They really need to remove lake Volta in EU4
is it me or is there something very contradictory about the "no discussion of systematic purges" rule on the PDS forums when the Soviet Union's Great Purge is represented in-game?
They really need to remove lake Volta in EU4
Why? [editline]17th August 2014[/editline] Oh I see why, its artificial. [editline]17th August 2014[/editline] From what I've seen of HOi4, I think its going to be better then 3. Not better then 2 or DH, but better then 3.
Nah, they mainly try to avoid german censorship.
lol "german censorship"
Remember, guys: it's not okay to use stock images with a swastika or two, it's not okay to show how Germans ran on slave labor, it's not okay to show firebombings or mass pillaging, but it's okay to show the Rape of Nanjing.
Here is some of the HOI4 stuff from the Stream http://www.twitch.tv/paradoxinteractive/b/558116483 There was technical issues so not all of it is there. There are some planes on the German Tech tree that were never actually made or never got out of prototype [t]http://puu.sh/aWtb2/c4f7d278f5.jpg[/t]
historical plausibility just went out the window
how so? Also as mentioned above, this isn't the first HOI game to do it.
historical plausibility just went out the window really tempted to make a thread on pds forums but i don't know
Okay what's historically plausible about the entirety of Europe being united under the flag of Luxembourg because that can happen in Hearts of Iron.
how so? Also as mentioned above, this isn't the first HOI game to do it.
whilst it's nice to include what could have been, i get this feeling that they're not spending much time fixing what they've already showcased [editline]17th August 2014[/editline]
Okay what's historically plausible about the entirety of Europe being united under the flag of Luxembourg because that can happen in Hearts of Iron.
 [editline]17th August 2014[/editline] on second thoughts i think that was a kneejerk reaction sorry i can't help but think badly of the whole thing rn for some reason
i get this feeling that they're not spending much time fixing what they've already showcased
Remember there are separate teams.. people working on the tech trees are not the same people working on other parts. I like how you mentioned maybe you should make a thread on the forums, when there is already the opposite asking for tech like that :v:
Nah, they mainly try to avoid german censorship.
No, they have no balls
No, they have no balls
Sometimes I really wish somebody made a forum unapproved historical mod for, well, basically everything but CK2.
No, they have no balls
Laws are laws.
I'm not sure if they've simplified HoI4 a lot, or if they've just made the complicated parts less abstract.
