There is actually an event which does that, factoring in the contrast in unit numbers as well as the amount of casualties. If there's a major swing to one faction in the battle, they get a glorious victory event, and the losers get a terrible defeat event. For example, when a single infantry division in an HPP game I used to partake in fought off an entire corps of British Heavy Armor divisions in a swampland, the casualties on the British side were so off the scale that it made the event fire.
Yeah, loss of your pride results in NU loss. Massive casualities add war exhaustion
I wonder what defines when a province has the border line on the coast like Bornholm and Gotland do. Does anyone know?
So yeah, Bundle stars has yet again found a way to pillage our wallets. http://www.bundlestars.com/all-bundles/hearts-of-iron-iii-complete-bundle/ HoI 3 for a £3.60
You copied the shortened link.
Whoops, fixed that.

Byzantium in EU4 is hard
Jesus, I forgot how much time you can lose.... I came home, decided to play abit as an italian faction and BAM 6 hours later.
CK2 collection is £13.99 again on humble store https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/crusaderkings2collection_storefront
So I've been playing Darkest Hour and tried playing around with the console. I wanted to have a successful July 20 plot (event 2025) which I typed into the console but nothing happened. When July 20 eventually came around, it just told me that Hitler survived the coup. What am I doing wrong here?
Byzantium in EU4 is hard
Byzantium isn't that hard if you know what to do. Now Chimu or Ashanti, that's hard. Seriously I've had quite a bit of blobs with Byzantium.

Seriously I've had quite a bit of blobs with Byzantium.
I got a solid blob going now, but there was a long period after taking the Balkans where I kinda stagnated because I was still too weak to take the Ottos myself, my allies wouldn't join me, and I already took all my easy cores back. Also, dat AoW stream. http://www.reddit.com/r/paradoxplaza/comments/2h5oag/summary_of_the_eu4_art_of_war_stream/
http://www.reddit.com/r/paradoxplaza/comments/2h5oag/summary_of_the_eu4_art_of_war_stream/
Probably the most excited I've been for an expansion to date.

So going to play Theodoro once AOW comes out. I love tiny nations. Also, really like the amount of provinces(reminds me of MPM).
Its extremely picky on what territories you own and who you are at war with. Government needs to be fascist, head of state needs to be hitler. At war with the soviets and english. Not have bitter peace with or without japan. Not have the UK or or US surrendered. Not have a failed assassination before. Soviets need to control Moscow, Leningrad, Minsk, Kiev, Sevastopol. Odessa. And a bunch more.
But by the time it reaches that point, the failed assassination attempt already has occurred before I can input the successful attempt into the console. Is it just totally random whether it works or not.
That new China looks so much better, I can't wait to play with it, also the inclusion of Theodoro is interesting, hopefully they change the "Goths" culture name to Gothic cause it sounds weird otherwise. I hope AoW introduces some gameplay mechanics for Confucianism, Shinto, Buddhism and Protestantism, similar to what the Muslims, Orthodox, and Reformed have.
I don't see a reason why not, considering Art of War being from the Chinese areas.
Can anyone vouch for Veritas et Fortitudo (or whateverthefuck it's called) making EUiv's peace more tolerable? It seems promising, but my internet's been shite recently, and I don't want to go through the agony of downloading it if it's a bit naff.

I dislike the main soundtrack they added for it tho, I always remove it after installing VeF. The vanilla one is so much better.

If it does for EU4 what HIP did for CK2 (though I loved CK2 without HIP), it'll be well worth it.
The only problem with mods like MEIOU and VEF is that my PC can't handle all the provinces. Then again my shitty PC stutters quite a bit in Victoria 2 (!)
Then again my shitty PC stutters quite a bit in Victoria 2 (!)
? Victoria 2 has to handle a lot of information.
Having a fucking odd game of Vic 2. I'm playing as Catalonia and the world economy has just absolutely imploded. First a few minor nations, then Denmark and Spain, then THE BRITISH EMPIRE went bankrupt and The Great War broke out in 1877 between Germany/France and Austria/UK, ending in Germany taking tons of stuff and France stealing the dalmatian coast and forcing a government onto the UK. I ended up as an Anarcho-Capitalist dictatorship and for some reason my people don't seem to give a shit despite their factories totally going backrupt due to the aforementioned worldwide economic Ragnarok. Just when it couldn't get any crazier I look at Africa and see Brazil colonizing swathes of it's West Coast.

So I just tried Ancient Space and it's really....mediocre. Pretty but poorly optimized, awkward controls, emotionless voice actors (which they claim is more realistic, as "a good captain wouldn't scream mayday mayday if his ship was going down, he'd just say it"), no MP, no moddability. Can someone suggest a fun non-Christian/Norse person to play as that has a cool name? Can be as low as count-level for all I care, I just want to make my own Sultanate or something with a cool name.

There's a Vicky 2 game where an NPC South American country becomes relevant?

How do I play HoI3? No matter what I do my armies are constantly out of supply, I lose every battle and my armies are constantly in retreat. I really want to enjoy this game but I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
How to play HoI 3 in three easy steps: 1): Select Hearts of Iron III in your steam game's list 2): Right click it, then left click delete local content 3): Wait for Hearts of Iron IV
Hearts of Iron IV? You mean "We want to dumb down everything so it's like War Leaders: Clash of Nations"?
Just encountered a weird bug in CKII today - the whole world literally declared war on itself and everyone was fighting everyone else, even though there was no formal declarations of war that existed.
