Dumbed down? Is that what they call making a game playable nowadays?
HoI3 is an over-complicated, buggy, crash-prone, laggy shit stain on the Hearts of Iron series, HoI2 was a better game in nearly every way.
Sorry buddy, it seems like people have other opinions than you do. Sure is a shocker huh?

You could have avoided it by not being extremely hostile and being a smart ass to someone asking for help, and yeah with such a connotation it sure seems like you're making your opinions out to be objective facts.
If you want to play HoI3 you'll need to either do some reading or watch some videos that explain what all the tabs at the top do. As for your units always being out of supply you need to make sure you're producing enough supplies for starters. If you're on the offensive and push to far into enemy territory too quickly you're also likely to run into supply problems. The infrastructure of area you're moving through will also effect how easily your units can resupply. HoI3 isn't actually all that hard to learn how to play, it's just not very newbie friendly.
How to play HoI 3 in three easy steps:
1): Select Hearts of Iron III in your steam game's list
2): Right click it, then left click delete local content
3): Wait for Hearts of Iron IV

Hearts of Iron IV? You mean "We want to dumb down everything so it's like War Leaders: Clash of Nations"?
i think paradox have no idea how to compromise between barebones, buggy, inefficient but creative and able to micromanage, and mana points, non-existent order of battle, pushing obscure prototype technology into the game (which is good for sandboxing, but still), dumbed down interface, etc.
i don't see why can't they just take the best bits out of darkest hour (simplicity), HoI3 (level of control and advanced stuff) and what will be in HoI4 (efficiency and no more stupid micromanagement) and combine it together
i want grognard level detail and accessibility
This is going to be like the emperor edition update of rome 2
I wonder how many of these new features will be free, like allied transport or client states
I'm expecting the battle and (possibly) transport additions to be free, but that's hoping for a lot, knowing Paradox.

I've been having some fun with the SuperStates mod in between writing my AAR. Playing as my home was a challenge at first but once I beat Maryland I was able to play New York and Philadelphia against each other while I ate up all the smaller states. By the time I was their strength they had weakened each other so much that resistance was useless.
I was a States Republic the whole time and with New Jersey's merchant ideas I was swimming in money (currently getting 50+ gold) and swarmed them with mercenaries where my armies failed. I vassalized the entire north east and West Virginia and Vermont is the only vassal I have yet to absorb. After a while I got this amazing president who I really didn't want to let go and this bombed my tradition so much that I turned into a dictatorship and then shortly after I turned into a kingdom.
I also own some Caribbean territory that I beat out of Puerto Rico (I took San Jose and Jamaica, they're now stuck in Hispaniola and Central America.) I wanted to advance my colonial gains by eating everyone elses colonies but I've fallen a bit behind tech wise so I'm saving diplo points to advance.
It's been a really fun game!
Oh no, South Park was right.

Maine has taken over Atlantic Canada D:
they got stomped by everybody and I freed them out of pity, they then proceeded to abuse how badly I punched the northeast and just started getting revenge on everyone. They were competing with Minnesota for colonies and such until I beat the shit out of both of them. Now they're my loyal ally.
Decided to do a hands off game of the superstates mod after seeing that screenshot

Yes. Make sure you wait for the first event to fire before going into observe mode.

The Ottoman Empire used to control most of that Teutonic Order territory
So I learned through my Jersey game how OP vassalizing shit is.
you don't even have to absorb them, fighting another country with five vassals on your side is just depressing.

germany has become ded
Once they lost the Great War and went bankrupt the European nations showed zero fucks and zero mercy, and tore Germany into shreds. That brownish territory south of Prussia that hold Berlin and one other province is them, and shortly after this screenshot was taken they lost Berlin to the Prussians and then turned Nazi.
American Italy
wtf lol
American Italy
wtf lol
Depending on how batshit insane the colonial situation is in the Americas or maybe even Africa, the US can annex or accept European countries into the Union. I had it happen with literally all of Spain once.

what
what
If a country borders the USA, there are events to accept them into the union based on their position in the world.
If a country borders the USA, there are events to accept them into the union based on their position in the world.
So Mexico could become an American state?
I never knew this. It's only ever happened to me for Texas and usually some Canadian minor states if I happen to get Britain to free them.

What is this event and could it be possible to do that for any country.
Could it be possible to make events that are "Annex Spherelings".
The event is from NNM, it is also in GSG and PDM
