I converted an old CK2 save to EU4, but in the EU4 launcher it says the mod is out of date? What can I do?

I'm playing as Poland (EUIV), and I took the decision to create a personal union with Lithuania. However because of my elective monarchy, I always get a foreign heir, which breaks my personal union with Lithuania on my monarch's death, which will make me have to fight a war to get them back in order to be able to form the Commonwealth. Is there any way to avoid this?

Foreign rulers give you -1 diplomat and some other malus (dip rep maybe?) and, like I said, are almost always worse stat-wise than your heir. If you don't have enough legitimacy it's not a massive deal but the low legitimacy is something you need to live with as Poland/Commonwealth. Your real struggle is the [I]fucking Sejm[/I], whom I only recently abolished. Fuckers. edit: England just annexed Styria and became an Administrative Republic ruled by Oliver Cromwell. :suicide:
