So I was playing some EUIV this evening, as the good ole 'US at the American Revolution start date. So I wrap that war up by 1781, and start getting some manpower back so I can kick native ass. I declared war on the Abenaki, and not soon after the Tecumseh event fired. For some reason, it decided to put me in a coalition with the Abekanki against, me. I guess you can't trust anybody, not even yourself.

However the later, larger states that emerge will be a enormous pain to deal to break since they're, in essentially, permanently hugboxing against you with what their webs of alliances. It's the easiest area to blob in but since everything is such tight knit it gets a tad more harder to deliver the final blows to the emerging big blobs in the area. And then you have to worry about the Europeans. Maybe if the stars align and you manage to beat off Portugal/etc (depending on when they arrive, it's surprisingly easy to take care of them, though you will need to use some super luck to beat off Castillian-Aragonese-Naplese doomstacks though) they might fuck off for good, but I've only played a few games with Mali so results may of course vary. [editline]18th December 2014[/editline] Personally, it's a lot more easier to just designate a march or 2 for basically additional 10-18k vassal armies to help you expand. It'd probably make for iffy borders and you'll have to waste a few decades or so before you can annex them but it's pretty worth it if at least to get the upper hand over the other Saharan countries later on when the region is partitioned between blobs. But I suppose it just depends on playstyles.

Im currently playing as Germany on BlackICE (HoI3 mod) and waging a devasting war against the Soviet Union. Around 43, I knew that I couldnt handle the pressure myself on the front so I called my Romanian, Hungarian and Bulgarian allies to help me out. I commanded them to attack the southern flank to Stalingrad, which they succeded quite well at first. Unfortently, the 700k some Hungarian, Bulgarian and Romanian troops advanced on ONLY 2-3 PROVINCES vertically from around Crimea to Stalingrad. I tried to protect their flanks but it was to no avail, I was forced to retreat my troops from the southern flank back all the way to crimea. The Soviets later counter attacked and cut off ALL THE TROOPS. Eventually destroying every single divison. In just 3 weeks I had litteraly destroyed all the whole Romanian, Hungarian and Bulgarian armies. I lost the whole southern front and eventually lost the war in 1944 :(

Load them and give them as expeditionary forces to yourself, never TAG switch cuz it will fuck up their production queues permanently.
