It doesn't really make sense that mercenaries start with 0 morale, it's not like they've just been recruited they are active military units looking for work

I never understood mercenaries and having the same unit types. I'd be more willing to use them if they werent just faster recruited, but more expensive units. I'd like to diverse my army with different unit types, since armies aren't exactly uniform and use only one thing.

It wouldn't exactly be fair if, when your capital's being besieged, you can just pluck entire armies out of thin air fully organized and ready for combat. [editline]30th April 2013[/editline] The bar that fills up is Organization rather than Morale (I think morale is a seperate thing in CK2). It represents readiness for battle in the form of unit cohesion, functioning supply lines and chains of command and good orderly conduct of the soldiers. When full the army's functioning as its supposed to and when its empty your men are scattered, either because they're being levied or because they were broken. That's my personal interpretation anyway. I'd have to check but I think morale dictates how long they can last in battle before disengaging or breaking.

Bohemia is really just a glass giant at the start of the game. It's a complete joke and 90% of the time will be quickly swallowed by it's superior neighbor Austria. It's also just screwed no matter what if you have historical nations turned on.

HRE won the second crusade for Jerusalem in my ongoing CK2 game, circa 1130s'. Fast foward two decades later, they've consolidated their Levant holdings and pushed inland, kicking the Moslems out of Baghdad already. Conflict between the HRE and mongols ought to be exciting to watch, when they arrive to rek the Middle East 24/7/365 days a year. Does anybody here play CK2 with Project Balance? I can't manage to make it work. When I start a game it crashes to desktop after 30 seconds. Also two counties that should be in the HRE are instead owned by dudes in Ghana. It's annoying because I'm getting really tired of vanilla and its OP republics.

Also be sure to update to the latest version, there's a bug regarding heirless patricians with retinues crashing the game that he fixed a version or so ago.

I even removed the other mods from the mod folder to be sure. I have the latest version, and I had the same problem the last time I wanted to try this mod (with an older version). It can't be the retinue bug anyway because it crashes before I even unpause. EDIT: Problem solved. There should be a bunch of 0-byte files in ProjectBalance\history\provinces, but in my case they weren't extracted when I uncompressed the archive.

Does anyone else have their heirs randomly leave your court for one of your vassals whenever you get a new ruler, specifically ones that have a icon indicating they might revolt? I've had this occur to me twice already. Another issue that's been bugging me is the inability to resign generals on the right flank sometimes. I have to move their assigned unit to another flank before I can again, which I find pretty weird.

Doing something new again, of course. I think he's playing as a republic using CK2+ to horribly nerf them, and being the developer of CK2+ he can nerf himself again if he wants to.
