Are there any CK2 mods with more laws and other political flavour stuff?
Crown authority and the such seems a bit underwhelming imo.
In EU3, I'm playing as Britian and after winning a 3rd 30 year colonial war with the French I took most of their empire to stop it from happening again, now suddenly I have 47 imfamy. I didn't do anything wrong, I was just defending what was mine now suddenly I have death stack rebels everywhere and 4 countries have declared war on me including Japan, I have no manpower either, what the fuck am I supposed to do?

I've heard, mainly from the Elder Kings team, that CKII doesn't handle new laws very well. I have seen them changed a bit though, in the Game of Thrones and mod, and perhaps in Elder Kings.

Soon, I shall start a Victoria 2 AAR, 1836-1936 as Serbia.

you might have to lose a war. i think if someone else wins a badboy war then your infamy is reduced drastically. this might suck since it means a nation can annex a ton of your territory for almost no infamy.

You're pretty much screwed if you don't intentionally lose a badboy war.
Release countries to burn off (some) infamy. You can sell off provinces to other nations— the downside being is there are no infamy reduction this way.

I've always felt colonization would be an awesome addition to CKII. I'm really hopeful they can get it working.
it would be cool if they were just empty provinces that bordering characters could build holdings in. if you and another kingdom or ruler both build a holding in the province, both characters would gain claims on the each other's holdings until someone controls the entire province.
New EvW screen on Facebook, I'd post it but its a pain doing it on the iPod

Destroying someone's global empire is a little beyond simply defending yourself, especially if those colonial territories weren't part of the original casus belli. Overstepping the bounds of your war is always going to result in you earning infamy.
In future be sure to check the infamy cost of certain demands you make during peace settlements because the second you cross that infamy limit you've giving everyone in the world an excuse to take you down, as well as causing massive amounts of unrest.

Then you go open your little console and type in
Infamy -89
Does anyone know of a text editor that will allow me to edit a massive amount of province files at once? I'm using Victoria 2 HoD

No, there is not. Not even any hints.
I made Russia Disappear at the begining of the game.

Someone made a easy to use Country creator for Vicy 2
http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?685792-TOOL-Victoria-II-Nation-Establisher-.-Save-hours-in-two-seconds-to-create-nation-!
Right now it doesn't allow you to make the actual country borders, you need to do that manually like any other mod, but its pretty great other then that.

I just had the North German Federation form in 1845
Every time I glance over at the Roman empire, it's like they're continuing to expand their realms by the day. A mere three province minor is all that stands between them and me (and Berlin), to boot.

Man, if somebody made that for EU, EvW, HOI3, and CK2, imagine how much countries one could set up and convert through the years.
Man, if somebody made that for EU, EvW, HOI3, and CK2, imagine how much countries one could set up and convert through the years.
I'd like to see one solely for HoI3 for converting purposes. It would take out half the time and effort to create all the important country info and countries themselves that ceased to exist by HoI3's timeframe.
Anyone got advice for colonial empires in EU3 (specifically EU3+)? I have plenty of national income, but I have next 0 cash in hand all the time. My yearly census taxes are basically static, despite my enormously expanding colonies. Does this mean I need to grow my European empire to keep my nation strong? Why would I bother with colonies at all if this was the case?

Don't try to expand too quickly, and focus on profitable goods and high tax bases. Expanding too much means paying a lot of money to fund colonies.
The Caribbean for instance is a good place to blob.
Provided other European colonial powers haven't taken them yet, the Mayans and their numerous coffee provinces can secure you a good deal of money as well.
Yes I have the important bits of the carribean with the valuable provinces but that doesn't translate to cash in hand. Let me take some pictures...

Assuming I roll my colonies down to 0 forever and max my treasury slider (1.2/month)... I'm still losing 10 a month, and that's with my military maintenance at zero. My army is small as is, having had no expansion since before the Aragonese wars.
My empire is getting larger, and the military's budget is shrinking.
The Great Arabian Empire. I was bored, when I get bored, things... happen.

Now the game is crashing in April 1850. Oh well.
how does one manage inflation in EUIII
how does one manage inflation in EUIII
EU3+ nerfs mint advisor and NB NI. So yeah.
edit, wait were you asking how to actually deal with it? Spam paintings to get your cultural up and get the best mint advisor you can, centralize, and grab the National bank NI as your first or second idea.
Be prepared to bleed money while waiting for inflation to dip down, it can take months on end depending on how much you acquired of it.
Just finished my first game of Vicky 2 Heart of Darkness and I have to say I'm really digging the new crisis system. Also is it just me or did Japan get a major buff at the start of the game? It took me next to no time at all to completely westernize and that was just using the early meiji restoration decision.
Wound up fighting and winning multiple wars with the Russian and British Empires with my bestest bud in the whole world Australia. Got to love the Great War system and the fact both wound up paying me back for all those soldiers of theirs I killed. I was actually at Rank 2 for most of the 20s and 30s but then, as with every other Victoria 2 game I've played, I get sniped at the last hurdle and fall back down again. It was pretty obvious I was never going to catch up to the USA though because they had twice my industrial rating and that was after a few decades of rapid industrial improvement and modernization.

Also that blue flagged secondary power is the Dominion of Tunisia, and as of writing Guangxi was only about ten years old, as I'd demanded their independence during one of the later international crises (considering all those wars I'd had with China and the fact large tracts of chinese land now belonged to the Japanese Empire they remembered their place and submitted to my demands).
