I always have almost 1k gold even after buildings things because there's NO danger when raiding. Maybe I'll restart as someone else.

I really don't see a HRE forming ever. I think raiding is a bit too easy since you can just go after single independent counties. Paradox will probably patch this so that neighbouring nations also become hostile.

Maybe they could make it so the more soldiers that are part of a raid, the less money you take? That way it prevents pagans from doomstacking to raid minor countries as they'll earn less money from it. That could easily represent all the soldiers taking a little bit for themselves as they pillage.

They raided and conquered without opposition until more forts and bigger empires were established limiting their raiding ability.

Hands-off games are always good for getting an idea of how the AI behaves after a new dlc/update. Looks like Old Gods causes a lot of chaos. I like Denmark's territory in France.

One thing with the Vikings is that if you play as them, you can quickly just take over other vikings. I took over literally all of Sweden using the Subjugation cb and the war lasted about three weeks because I captured the leader in battle. [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] I don't like the gavelkind update. It's fucking bullshit how you can't even land your sons because of it. [editline]29th May 2013[/editline] I formed Scandinavia on a single life starting out from a little duchy in Norway. I finally did it when my guy was like 78 and he died the next year. Ruled for over 60 years.

Shit has hit the fan in my game. I ran show in Scandinavia after I made the Kingdom of Sweden. I had Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and a sweeping area down through Finland and somewhat into the Rus as well as some stray areas across the Baltic. Lithuania decided to try to subjugate my areas on the mainland, and while we were in a pitched battle, 70% of my vassals revolted for independence and the Kingdom of Sweden was shattered. Someone then pressed my cousin's claim on my throne and I didn't have enough manpower to win, so I was dethroned and imprisoned. A friend vouched for my release, so I retained the county of Sweden's capital and Gotland. The same friend then attacked Norway to press a claim I had forgotten about on the Norweigan throne that was made after my deposition from Sweden's. That same goddamn bro. He won and I'm now the king. I WILL have my revenge.

How do you unload ships in CK2? I cant seem to do it.

I hope the next dlc will allow us to play as the Mongols and other horde nations along with an expansion of the map. Any other ideas for the next dlc, gents?

As much as it deprives from the dynastic focus point of the game I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow branched out playing as holy orders/religious figures. It's one of the few things they haven't touched yet, and they're pretty popular with the community.
