How do you play as Aztecs?
Wait until they show up, then play as them.
Is there an event thing to make them appear with console?
Is there an event thing to make them appear with console?
Try event SSI.1 That should trigger them to come soon enough.
I'm bad at explaining stuff so have a bunch of links instead.
I believe the Muslims in Spain also more or less completely denied the Vikings from having any major gains at all. I don't recall the Asturians being as successful though. (Sources all books)
The Old Gods makes it too easy to blob. [t]http://i.imgur.com/LfEnEJJ.jpg[/t]
The new republics.
Has anyone else found the AI pagans are way too powerful with the old gods? I just played a game where it looks like the entirety of Eastern Europe has fallen under pagan rule because they can form kingdoms semi-reliably and are immune to offensive wars once they get garrisons larger than their supply cap.
What is the best way to kill your eldest son? He's fucking useless and shits out too many babies.
What is the best way to kill your eldest son? He's fucking useless and shits out too many babies.
Give him command of twenty men and send him to fight twenty thousand. Or just have him killed and accept the kinslayer trait.

I've found in Old Gods that it's somewhat better if you can't get a good alliance out of marriage you should just not marry and find a concubine from a random-ass place who has good traits. I was slain in battle and became a child-king and there were no solid alliances to be found so I found a concubine with genius and made a baby. Incidentally he was born a genius as well. It's worth the diplomacy hit.
elective monarchy [editline]30th May 2013[/editline] Just disqualify him by appointing him a bishop if succession really bothers you and elective isn't an option.
Won't let me. Fuck it, going to fiddle with the files. [editline]30th May 2013[/editline] Nvm. I managed to make him my spy. He went to the court of the Byzantine Emperor and was promptly executed.
I don't know why, but I go edit CK2's defines and other things to see what would happen. Today, I turned the AI aggressiveness to 700,000% and then gave truce days = 1. Then, I turned the vassal opinion on a raised levy to 0. Oh my. OH MY.
The new republics.
I think this is paradox's way around balancing the game. They'll just make everything overpowered so it all balances it out!
Guys, I did another hands off, this time with sunset invasion enabled
Do you have a culture mod going? That seems like a really impossible amount of culture spread for Hungarian, since it doesn't get any bonuses.
As much as it deprives from the dynastic focus point of the game I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow branched out playing as holy orders/religious figures. It's one of the few things they haven't touched yet, and they're pretty popular with the community.
It used to be possible to play as the Teutonic order awhile back.
Do you have a culture mod going? That seems like a really impossible amount of culture spread for Hungarian, since it doesn't get any bonuses.
No mods at all.
How fast does it usually take for a culture to convert? Curious since I've never really played a game beyond 200-300 years.
Non event specific depends on religion, vassals, development, culture groups, and lots of time, I think.

The most challenging part of the game is the first decades since other Kingdoms can swallow you up in a single war. The vikings dominated this age so its to be expected but perhaps this subjugate casus Belli should be nerfed so that other Norse powers can't be swallowed so easily. Why the hell did I have to have 5 daughters after this king?
It used to be possible to play as the Teutonic order awhile back.
Maaaan I'd murder to be able to play as the Teutons or Jomsvikings.
Just picked up the Old gods DLC, how do I do a coastal raid?
Just picked up the Old gods DLC, how do I do a coastal raid?
Select the blue button to turn to raiding mode. Have them go onto a boat and then sit on a province. Wait for it to run out of money (or enemy army to arrive) and move to the next one. Make sure your boat is adjacent. Repeat until you have enough cash, sail back home.
How do I load my army in the boats and how do I make the soldiers get off of the boat? CK2 is really damn confusing.
Put your boats in the water bordering the province your army is in. Select your army, right click them on to the boat. Move your boats to water bordering the province you want to put your troops on and click the army button at the top right of your boats selection then right click onto the land bordering the water.

I get the impulse to make new kingdoms and it just fucks everything up on succession :v: .
Any recommended fun place to start for Old Gods? Just did a run as Denmark and conquered all of Norway/Northern Germany [editline]31st May 2013[/editline] Also has anyone tried being a Viking Republic yet?
I just had a game where AI Cumania ate the entirety of Hungary seemingly at random then formed the Hungarian Empire rather than their own. Is this normal?
