Agh, why must it be so hard to set up multiplayer? I opened the supposedly needed ports (1630-1641 TCP/UDP), but for some reason, [URL="http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/"]this website[/URL] says they aren't open. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to make a event chain for my Vic2 campaign that keeps crashing the game at 'Loading Events', dammit.
I managed to get everything else working, like localization for some decisions/government types I modded in, except for that particular chain. I can't figure out if it's because I used flags in the code or if it's the way I coded the events themselves.

And lately it won't even launch, which pisses me off quite royally.

It may seem like a "is the power on?" question, but do you have all the proper open and closed braces? When I did something similar that was what was behind all my crashing.

It still leads to crashing during loading events, though.
No duplicated event numbers or anything like that? Otherwise you could try moving the entire chain out of your mod and then slowly adding each event back in and testing the load. That's basically the extent of my Paradox modding knowledge.
So I 'unno if anyone has the AGOT mod for CK2 and thus can relate to this - but man, the whole trial event in that game where you judge whether someone is guilty or not appears to be broken. No matter what the skills and traits of the character are, they always seem to make a poor case against the defendant.

It means that the game couldn't read one of the files.
Do you have an idea what might be the problem?
Hes asking why it wouldnt work so I don't assume he knows, did you patch to the correct version before installing?

You could just unblock every single port.

I did what you suggested and did one at a time, so now I suspect the second event is the source of the crashing;

I don't see what could be wrong with it. The last bracket is fine since it connects with country_event's bracket. I fixed the end bracket in [code]aristocrats = { consciousness = 1 }[/code] because there wasn't space, but that isn't the problem either.

I can't find any obvious issues there, one suggestion would be to see if there is any mod/general help thread on the Paradox boards that you can post that up on. I've seen modders go through others code before so you might get a better solution there. The only thing that stands out to me is the full text you have in the title, desc, and option name sections since all of that can be handled by localization. Don't know if that is anything that would actually cause a crash though.

It's on Steam, 3.05 if I recall correctly.
So I'm playing Vicky 2 as Japan starting in 1861. I force China to give up Korea in a glorious war, and then when my truce with Korea ends I declare war on them. I am in control of every single one of their provinces, destroyed every army and navy they owned. I have 99 warscore, but they still won't accept the "Annex" peace.

There's a small island to the southwest of the peninsula. Make sure you've occupied that.
Also make sure that your demands are 100 points and below, otherwise you can't get them all.

In the future the easiest way to check if there are any unseen provinces you should switch to diplomatic mapmode and select one of their provinces. It will shade all of them green for you.

Yup. The biggest obstacle to forming scandinavia is the travel time in the north.

Oh yeah, gotta hate the north. It's annoying when I'm trying to attack a city with 1200 defenders when the supply limit is 900.
I'm thinking of finding a mod that decreases AI aggression. Mainly because I can't stand things like German Egypt forming.
