Just one question though, do inventions travel to other countries or is the only way to get them to invent them yourself? If an invention that killed all your coal mines started spreading then it would have some real issues for the global market.

Growth has to do with expanding, but the main point is ensuring that you're on top financially and have power over trade and industry, with an army to back that up and expand .

You can declare war on someone, force a personal union, and completely annex the country within a generation if you have positive relations.

I'm currently on my Second Great war, been going on since 1909, its currently 1917. almost 6 million dead. Canada invaded and occupied most of Scandinavia, but were pushed out a few months later, right now they only hold Greenland. Scandinavia is occupying 90% of Russia, with the other 10% being occupied by allies. [editline]21st July 2013[/editline] 2nd Great War is over, The Confederate Allies have lost. Canada and Russia are currently going under a Fascist revolution. I've just spent almost 10€ on all of the DLC's for HoI 3 which I didn't have. To be honest I didn't expect such an expense.

Apparently he let the spanish converted him to catholic when he lost a war to them. I also remember having a game where i had both Great Britain and England existing together and they were at war with eachother too.

I've had games with Ireland taking over most of the British Isles and northern europe, in the same game Hindustan controlled the East coast of Africa to the Korean Peninsula.

To summarize my new Vic2 game. I gave the USA cores on North and Central America, and Gave Brazil cores on all South American countries.
