British United States of America, what?
Its because the US has cores in all that territory, its how the naming works in vic2.
Its because the US has cores in all that territory, its how the naming works in vic2.
Is this something HOD or PDM changed around because I don't think I've ever seen names behave that way.
Never mind, I get what you mean.
Ok, I'm trying to use that handy dandy CK2-to-EU3 converter, but I've been running into some problems.
Well, just one problem. I followed the instructions to the letter, putting my pertinent directories into the requested areas for the configuration.txt file, but when I fire it up by dropping my save file onto the .exe (which is what it says you should do) I get a log that says, "Error: Could not open configuration.txt"
Anyone run into this before, or know how to fix it?
To summarize my new Vic2 game. I gave the USA cores on North and Central America, and Gave Brazil cores on all South American countries.

Yeah, it also depends on much of the territory has cores, normally in PDM, it says British North America because they control more then one territory with cores. In default Vic2, it says British Canada because Canada has cores on most of the territory.
Speaking of cores, the German Empire has a core on this tiny island off the coast of Denmark that is owned by Britain. I don't know under what circumstances I would ever declare war on the world's biggest military, with my only Great Power ally being silly Belgium, for practically nothing. You guys ever seen or had huge, bloody wars over minuscule amounts of land?
Its done. Mostly.

Can you Japan cores on all of Asia and see what happens? Or Britain cores on the US.

China on cores of all of Asia.

If you have a strong navy you can just strangle the Brits occupy the Channel Islands and Heligoland (which will add warscore). Eventually, if you've done things right, you'll up the Brits' war exhaustion to a point where they'll see themselves forced to surrender.

Damn, the Brits formed india by 1849, That's ridiculous.
Damn, the Brits formed india by 1849, That's ridiculous.
That isn't India, that is British conquered India. I gave UK cores in all provinces that India had cores in.
Russia's Anarcho-Liberal revolution was surprisingly successful. I observed the situation as loyalist troops tried to reclaim back the capitol of St. Petersburg. The occupation was at 90% something, their attempt ended up being futile when the revolutionaries finally took power in August 1924.

In the same month the year prior, the British monarchy was overthrown, to be replaced by a communist regime.

The French are undergoing a Fascist revolution of their own.

I didn't think revolutions were that common in Europe, think it'd be because they're not great powers?
The American Civil War started the same time the UK was annexing the US

And the fact that Japan managed to conquer nearly all of Asia on its own in 13 years isn't ridiculous? :v:
Do you have some sort of map or font mod? It looks slightly unfamiliar and I love how the text is
The fonts are from the Modern Age Mod
I didn't think revolutions were that common in Europe, think it'd be because they're not great powers?
Nah, probably because of the high war exhaustion all the countries racked up during the last war.

All that territory and being released by one of the most advanced countries in the world will do that.

I've had Canada become a great power in un-modded V2 as well.

Happens all the time for me in PoD, to be honest.

Really, that is your strangest?
You have yet to see the power of Long Korea.
Canada usually gets GP status when released due to high immigration as well as all the natural resources you can find in Canada.
