Byzantine is back bitches [t]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/612772818340496141/414B4F8B7B5F1280AAC39E5BCAE3BF047FCDFF48/[/t]
Dat nutsack Macedonia.
Damn, I couldn't prevent the Civil War [t]http://cloud-3.steampowered.com/ugc/612772818341857020/4C2A5986F6F6B6E0E7C6BF4E9FC8A485EA5943C2/[/t]
God dammit. Here I was, thinking I would have to wait another 10 years for my truce with the Holy Roman Empire to end. So when the damn Muslims decided "Oh hey, we want the County of Rayy!" I was like, ok sure, time to send my retinues. After all, what else would they be doing? Dicking around in France? Imagine how frustrated I was when I idly checked up on the HRE while having my retinues march through the blasted hellscape that is the Middle East. The entire Empire had collapsed into civil war. I could be nabbing duchies right now, yet here I am defending a single dinky county (which I only conquered in the first place so I could shove my unwanted sons into bishoprics) while I could be reclaiming lands for the glorious Roman Empire.

Again.
Surrender to the Muslims, turn around, and beat the shit out of those Germans. I think that sounds like the best plan. [editline]25th July 2013[/editline]
Your best bet is to turn those boats around right now and charge back at the Germans before the Kaiser folds. Again.
What he said
Does anyone have any good image galleries that have vintage photos of people, particularly in the 1920s-1930s? Heck WW1 or earlier might even suffice. Right now I'm just going to get portraits for ministers, so far I've been using Google Images to find some and there aren't really a whole lot of good results.
Well, followed your advice and turned around. My Middle Eastern borders aren't as pretty as they were before, but at least I got to conquer a few duchies before they went back to the false Emperor. [t]http://i.imgur.com/i3DNPQS.jpg[/t] Damn HRE get your shit together.
n'yoh boy you gotta convert that to EU3 :v:
n'yoh boy you gotta convert that to EU3 :v:
I intend to, only issue is the CK2-to-EU3 converter's still bugging out on me. Specifically the damn thing doesn't recognize the configuration.txt exists. Technical problems aside, I have 19 years in-game to sort things out. Considering the Timurids have just arrived to wreck my shit, I'll certainly be busy.

If you drag and drop from your Crusader Kings 2/savegames, it'll give you that error.
Try copy+pasting your save into the converter's directory. If you drag and drop from your Crusader Kings 2/savegames, it'll give you that error.
Can't thank you enough! Been a good long time of me bumbling about with the converter until you said that. Save converted flawlessly, and when I booted up the save in EU3 everything's working as it should (although some of the countries are in wonky positions, but that's mostly due to independent duchies n' such.) Now I just have to mod in the Roman Empire (the Empire's showing up as Byzantium) and I'll be on my way to global conquest... Or maybe I'll finish up CK2 and grant independence to some extraneous duchies; blobbing might be fun, but it might be even more fun to start off with the Roman Empire's "original" borders.
I think you should just leave it as Byzantium since they're virtually the same thing anyway. Or if you're really that picky, just change it's names in the localization files (in_nomine_text & text) to save you the time and trouble of modding all the provinces and whatnot.

I unlocked the Australian edition of V2 [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/612772818355959569/D85F262D15675F687E08F929F5378ACBC9A8D931/[/t]
This is pretty late to respond, but still:
copy the files out of the gfx\fonts folder and place them in the vic2 font folder.
I downloaded both the hotfix in the post you linked to and the download from the OP, and neither of them had any fonts folders. Any help?

Is there any reason the game wont let you release republics?
Is there any reason the game wont let you release republics?
You can, give a mayor a county title and it should change to a republic. [editline]26th July 2013[/editline] Should work with higher titles as well, like ducal/kingdom.
Could we see a Culture+Religion map of that?
Religion [t]http://i.imgur.com/yZ76VTS.jpg[/t] Culture [t]http://i.imgur.com/j0re7jR.jpg[/t] The Fratricelli have been a problem. The number of revolts I've gotten from them is already into the double digits (13th was the most recent, I believe.) For a sect that believes in poverty and charity they sure are violent. As for culture... I haven't actually ran into any problems with it. Duchies subjugated via Imperial Reconquest seem awfully happy about it, and even when I get new Emperors they seem kind of chill.
The fact that you culture switched to Italian when you moved the capital to Rome makes this a hell of a clusterfuck
Well the alternative was having a Greek as the head of the Empire, which seemed wrong given how that was always an ERE thing. If I could I would've gone for the Latin/Roman culture group, but they don't exist beyond the Ruler Designer and history tabs.
In V2 HoD can you like select which provinces the nation you release will get?
The fact that you culture switched to Italian when you moved the capital to Rome makes this a hell of a clusterfuck
My Roman Empire stayed Greek because Rome became Greek culture. The Empire can become surprisingly stable with retinues and church leaders holding land.
In V2 HoD can you like select which provinces the nation you release will get?
No, they will get all provinces that they have cores on.
[thumb]http://imgkk.com/i/g1av.png[/thumb] Had to cheat and give myself shit tons of gold because of constant revolts and holy wars just to be able to buy mercs and defend :v: How dare I use cheats in my singleplayer game to have fun, fuck me right?
