Is there a good video series on CK2? The ingame tutorials are a bit buggy and confusing at times.
Update: formed the empire of hispania, and I'm installing my nephew as the king of ireland should I have my nephew under me or should I give him independence? Also: Can culture spread to ireland (that isn't from scotland/england?) edit: OH GOD HRE gobbled up all of france and they are right next to me
Culture can practically spread anywhere, just have the local ruler there be of the culture you want and they can eventually flip over
Not exactly everywhere iirc. Frankish culture can't spread from continental Europe to the isles for example, but there is a mod that does that. Doesn't culture spread also take years anyway?

He ended up relocating to Ireland and by the year 1424 he had converted the entire island to Basque culture.

Wow, tartarian empire has its full de jure, full de jure of byzantine emprie, and a good chunk of the rus empire. Even better: holy war for hungary, they had a massive deathstack in my empire, and the attrition lost them a massive army -> catholics win!

I can't count how many times I've seen nearly all of North Africa become German.
So apparently you can start with holy warrior in the ruler designer if you also have the level 4 military education. So I am going to see how quickly I can take all of Ireland and Britannia by becoming the count of oriel that is a norse and a holy warrior.
Is anyone familiar with modding HOI3? Am I suppose to edit the flagfiles.txt files in the docs folder/tfh folder/vanilla hoi3 folder when adding in flags for new nations? I keep crashing at either databases II or flags if I try do or don't anything to them.
Add flag files to flag folder. Remove flagfiles.txt flagfiles.tga Start game and they will make new ones.
Did this before, but I tried again anyway just now and it still crashes at flags.

How highly do you guys rank me intermarrying with Corfu, Crete, Cyprus, and Corscia (along with vassalizing them) and colonizing the Atlantic islands + Caribbean along with sending an explorer around the world? [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/hIZaTuB.jpg[/img_thumb]
Dat Morocco
So I was playing as Austria in PDM, managed to get Germany to form. Prussia is a bitch. Had to beat and ruin them 4 friggin times. Even with a Cut Down to Size on them they still managed to shit out 100+ brigades at the end of the truce. Getting France to part with Elsass-Lothringen was a lot easier. I also had to release everything except Slovenia and Bohemia. But losing a lot of unaccepted, semi-literate Hungarians to gain a lot of accepted, fully literate North Germans is a nice trade.
Dat Morocco
Here's my empire: Since most of it is small islands, it doesn't look to impressive. It's wealthy though, and my national income started to rise rapidly in the late 1480s as my colonies began to core. I own the following: Sicily, Lesser Antilles, Corfu, Malta, Canaries, Azores, Bermuda, Fernando Po, Cape Verde, St Helena. I also have Siena and Crete as my vassals. Cyprus, Sardinia, and Naxos are also my allies. My plan is to slowly vassalise all states in Italy and colonize the Lesser and Greater Antilles in their entirety. A strong navy and I am a strong and comfortable empire.

I'm starting a CKII AAR over at the Total War Center forums: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?611115-Total-War-Center-Kings-II-The-Crusader-Edition-%28Crusader-Kings-II-AAR%29 Also, we need a Redwall mod for CKII.

Why? There's not really any countries, just a bunch of barbarians, Redwall, and that Badger kingdom.
Like... the Brian Jacques books? Why? There's not really any countries, just a bunch of barbarians, Redwall, and that Badger kingdom.
Imagination IMO it would be fun :P
exclusive EU footage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ5K7_NS-jM !
I've never actually seen any gameplay of EU1 before, so this was kinda cool.
Imagination IMO it would be fun :P
It would be a shitload of counties with maybe one holding per county. Redwall would be like Constantinople in terms of built up defense, and get attacked by hordes of ratmen every couple years. There would then be a lavishly described feast at the beginning and end of every massive siege.
