So very true. Also my last Prussia>NGF>Germany game where britain and sweden would ally ally ally me but refuse to come to my aid even when I got attacked. Big lot of help they were. And nobody else wanted to ally me so it was Germania all the way.
The only ally I ever had as Germany that was valuable was the fucking Netherlands of all countries. Seriously, I was getting gang raped by Britain and Russia and my two GP allies (Italy and Scandinavia) left me. Suddenly, the Netherlands declares war on both those fuckers and signs an alliance and starts whooping Russian ass. Their armies performed almost better than mine. Then Scandinavia and Italy, as we started winning, joined the alliance again. Those fuckers. I also had Nationalist Spain as one of my allies and they were helpful. They basically won the colonization shit.

Oh that thing. Never did it. Don't like doing referral type things. [editline]31st July 2013[/editline] Apparently I already signed up for it and don't remember, only 2 people did ti http://signup.europauniversalis4.com/status/bbf257c31f7 [editline]31st July 2013[/editline] I have no idea what my recruitment link is for that site.
I only have one person signed up so far: http://signup.europauniversalis4.com/r/3892820a32f Having 5 signed up for all the dlc is p cool it appears.
I have 6 persons singed up so I get everything I wanted(DLC) and some bonus like the Art of War etc.
When do we get the stuff we got from the Call to Arms bonus anyway? Is it when the game is released?

Non-steam CKII rage? They'll be plenty of free copies from those Arms/Preorder bonuses. That CKII converter... it works from any year.
New dev diary http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/content.php?1544-Europa-Universalis-IV-Developer-diary-44-Newbie-Friendly My AI Scandinavian Empire had a civilwar, one of the former Emperors of Scandinavia decided he also wanted to be the Emperor of Britannia, so he created the title, came back and bit them in the ass, but it worked out fine in the end. The Coloured map is a little outdated, but not by much, Scandinavia controls Scotland and a couple of territories in the east and north africa.
How did Köln conquer Lappland?!
Judging from the map he showed, I suppose it was a revolting vassal with a province up there.

What happens next, idk.
Yeah, apparently after a period of time if you totally run out of cash, Mercenaries can revolt and take over their owner. What happens next, idk.
Novogord (or whatever it was called) hired some mercenaries but they defected - they then slowly took over his kingdom, but then started acting as an indepenedant nation, taking over other areas like Finland (he later took Finmark and expanded south as well). When the captain died of old age, another captain took his place, so it's essentially a military state or something. He can't marry or have children because he's a mercenary captain. Basically this was really weird for all of us.
Yeah, apparently after a period of time if you totally run out of cash, Mercenaries can revolt and take over their owner. What happens next, idk.
Glent's screenshot is what happens, basically.
Glent's screenshot is what happens, basically.
What I meant by that, are they possibly able to be hired again.
What I meant by that, are they possibly able to be hired again.
Uh, don't think so. In the Elder Kings mod (this isn't really a good example, but I think it's still valid), a mercenary band starts out with a lot of regions, but you can't recruit them. Can only assume that goes the same for normal CK2.
Ah okay. Was just confused as to what the ~future holds~ for a Mercenary Band Nation.
So I'm playing as Nationalist China in HOI3. I managed to pull off a major comeback. In the first stages of the war, I lost Beiping and Tientsin with in the first few weeks. The Japanese had managed to push me as far as back as Nanjing. Surprisingly they didn't attempt any amphibious landings and they decided to dedicate most of their effort into taking out the mainland. Their strategy was to encircle and entrap me by the coast by moving as many troops southward using the city of Xi'an. Well, I managed to pump out tons of infantry and mountain troops to stop the advances. Their offensive lost its momentum and now I've been constantly chasing a routing enemy. So far the biggest pocket I've formed was entrapping 50 brigades at Hong Kong. Right now my soldiers are equipped with Thompsons, MG34's and right now I'm going to invest in a stronger airforce and airborne soldiers and field more tank divisions. As of 1940 I only have two light tank divisions.
-snip-
I managed to fix that constant ctd problem a while back, but theres another issue I'm having trouble with now. In the decisions tab, there's a bunch of random stuff like these that appear for all the nations in the game. Would anybody have a clue as to what they are for exactly? I figured they were something in the localization files but I only messed around with a few (countries and parties) everything else is pretty much untouched. I tried removing all the events and decisions too, that didn't do much of anything so I'm thinking it has to do with the localization stuff for those aforementioned.
