I never did manage to restore the roman empire in CK2, but I imported my Byzantine empire into EU4.
Also as a note, that CK2 game started off as Denmark.
The Glorious Nation of K?UG?D
The Glorious Nation of K?UG?D
Pronounced as a gargling scream.

I'm not entirely sure what went wrong there, it was Ruthenia in my ck2 save.
So I am just playing as Utrecht in EU4
Conquered Zeeland and Breda and once truce runs out in a few years I will get Holland too.
Then Burgundy falls apart and who do I see in the Burgundian Netherlands.
FUCKING AUSTRIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Anybody know if it's possible to reform the Roman Empire as Byzantium? I've got this, but no decision to rename my country which would be awesome.

there is an achievement to reform the Roman Empire
It should definitely be in as you can do it in CK2, I've never played EU before though is there a decisions tab like in HOI3 or CK2? (ex: Hold a feast in CK2, Take out loan in HOI3 )
My Roman Empire game is odd, I formed the Byzantine Empire.
If its in CK2 you change change your emperors holding title by clicking on the little shield for the empire and the names of your empire on the political map will be changed along with it.
Im on my third war as Scotland fighting my vassals trying to replace me with someone else.
How do I prevent this from happening? I try to keep em in good relations and what not.
Well I converted to EU4

Problem is I have no idea what the hell I should do. Anyone have any goals I should go for?

Colonize America by conquering land on the East, through the Bering Strait.

That map makes my head hurt... what has history done?!
Honestly though, first thought in my mind, make the map aesthetically pleasing...
BY THE SWORD.
What decides tech group when converting saves? Everybody is Eastern in mine. I'm sure I could edit the files but knowing would be interesting.

Being Catholic gives you Western, and Muslims with land in Europe will usually be Ottoman. For the others it depends on the tech level you had in CK2, so you kinda have to play until the end to get good tech.
The requirements to get western tech were lowered in the last CK2 patch by the way, along with some other fixes.

Yep, just reconverted my Zoroastrian game and now I'm western. And I'm an empire too.
There are still some problems though like the Timurids being an empire with Muslim tech rather than a horde.
Guys, what do I do in this case? All of them declare war on me either because my ruler got excommunicated or due to alliance system.

Looks like you have a high infamy rating, they declared war on you because you are honorless scum. The best way to tell why they are at war is to look at the war tab, it should have the CB listed at the top.

I've said already that my ruler got excommunicated this is the CB for everyone (as it was stated in message windows). I'm rather asking what can I do in such shitty situation.
Can't have an infamy above 25.

Try for a white peace? Ask the Pope to let you back into the church? Getting un-excommunicated will end the war, surrendering will let you back into the church but they can't really take much land that way.
Fuck coalitions
Fuck coalitions
Especially fuck coalitions when there's vassals / PU's.
As you can see I am enjoying a Japan game now. So I'm just watching time pass.
Playing an ironman mode game as France, and every few years Austria declares war on me. As Austria's in the Anti-France coalition they're followed by virtually all of western europe.
Fighting Austria and Spain with historical lucky nations on is no fun I'll tell you what

Well my rival disappeared...?
I guess it represents Chinese civil wars historically.

Hahaha, my last name is LaPorte like that leader's
So I was playing Victoria 2, I managed to make the USA communist, I expanded a fair bit in mexico, own huge swathes of land in africa, installed communism in several countries, decided to just start ignoring the infamy limit and annexed korea, manchuria, and mongolia.
Then I get a jacobin rebellion, pretty easy, my two massive armies mopped them up. Then a year later, two jacobin rebellion in quick succession, couldn't even put down the first one before the second one happened. Still, not so bad, I took care of them.
The next year. Six motherfucking jacobin rebellions, all across the continental USA. I bring in my African army, barely save washington, and manage to put it down after two straight years of auto-rebel hunting.
The next year, an uncountable horde of jacobin rebels rose up.
Then I saved and shut down vicky 2 to come here and ask how to correctly oppress these hordes of democracy seeking heathens. I'm doing my best to lower militancy and consciousness but they're both rising because of various modifiers, is there anything I can do to stop these rebellions?

Don't go over the goddamn infamy limit next time.
[editline]18th August 2013[/editline]
Infamy affects militancy, so try releasing a few nations as satellite states to burn off some of that infamy.

Damn, I guess that was stupid of me, also I have full social reforms already, and the only political reform I can enact is ALLOWING slavery, releasing those satellites is probably a good idea though. Thanks for the tip.
Just ran a game from 1066 to 1820; Great Britain and Leon had a power struggle over the rule of the HRE while the Byzantines, Carpathia, Volhynia and Denmark just watched the west burn (while devouring their neighbours).
