It's a shame they don't let you do anything more than that, even something like forcing assimilation which dropped the life rating, raised militancy but increased assimilation rate would be fine. Death camps are obviously out of it but something a bit stricter than Residency or going full Fascist would be nice.

Even with exploits and shit, he had over 8000% overextension and half his empire kept falling to rebels.

Seems a tad ridiculous.[/QUOTE] I don't think you can affect the amount of overextension, but you can reduce the time it takes to turn it into a core: - Don't annex a high value province if you don't have a claim on it - non-claimed takes twice as long to core. - The larger your empire the longer it takes to core. If it's too long you'll need to... - Create vassals or give (sell for 0) provinces to your vassals. You can diplomatically annex the vassal later and it's all cored for free. [editline].[/editline] I'm assuming you're aware that you need to manually hit a button to start the coring process, it's not automatic over 50 years like EU3. But too much info is better than assumptions.

If you have a province of wrong culture and religion that's not bordering provinces of your culture you can get an event to 'bring settlers' there, which will switch the culture and the religion of the province. The mean time to happen depends on the ruler's stewardship so you should give land to high stewardship vassals.

We're also converting the Levantines to Judaism at a very fast rate due to Sunni's low authority; offering even less of a chance of it firing.
