Tu-2S-44 has airbrakes but what kind of person wants to go slow when they can go fast???
You dirty liar. I'm in one right now and it doesn't. Only the plain-Jane Tu-2 (Gift) has them.
So it turns out the final tier of upgrades for the F80c cost the same as the last PBJ.
26000 rp.
26000
help me

we need to land at some point.
and some times you just want to land right the fuck now.
I wish the Yak-9P could have the slower-firing NS-37 cannon the 9t gets. I feel like I'm supposed to like the 9P more but I just don't feel like I have the same degree of control and accuracy. The 20mms are a nice step above a single Berezin though, I gotta give it that.

Praise your Vodka Gods we have independent cannon control now. Having twin twenties didn't mean much when you only had a "all the cannons" button.

Wait really??? Wow I've been lied to. Wtf is the point of the S-44 then?
Still point remains going slow is for chechens.
Zengzhou.
Five minutes in and every single other player on my team is dead without a single downed enemy.
Beginning with series 44, the gunner's in-flight view was improved when three small round blisters on each side were replaced with a large one. Some wood bits were replaced with metal. Extendable footrests added, and navigator's cockpit gets some convex side blisters.
Basically crew comfort and camouflages. Nothin' else. :v:
Once you settle into a routine, it can get bland, but it's just a solid plane. It out maneuvers pretty much every heavy fighter (get fukt 410s) and teaches you to be accurate with it's 9 x 100kg payload. Sure, some bombers have that delicious 8 x 250kg thing going on, but the Tu-2 can shit death both in front and behind.
You shouldn't need airbrakes in it either. Learn to cut the engine if you want to do a few fast dives, but I usually have my best luck flying it extremely low and letting fighter babies play in low orbit.
I know I can do that, but Airbrakes just makes it so much easier. Not only that, it's also easier to make fighters overshoot you and match the speed of an enemy bomber.
That way, you can do some sick fly-bys with the gunners.
It is indeed a very solid plane, and just like the Peshka, its very good at luring retards to stay right behind you, so you can pilot snipe them.
The Peshka is way better at turning. Believe it or not, but I've been able to turn with fighters in that thing, forcing them so low that they crash, or get a few bursts into them.
Guess I gotta unlock some bigger payloads before the advantages of the 2S-59 outweights those of the Peshka.
The Peshka will forever be my favourite moneymaker, though <3

Well there's your problem. Stock 2 x 500kg payload sucks dick. A single drop in RB is not worth it.

Fixed. And yeah, I was saddened when I found out it's a single drop. It's enough to destroy the bridge in Korea, though.

Trust me, once you get the 9 x 100kg, if you can aim them that is, you'll be rolling in dough. Two sorties can pretty much win Berlin if you keep a 8/9 hit ratio and stay unmolested.
The Tu-2 pretty much never sees important ships or not-light pillboxes. 100kg is a cure all as long as you can aim it good.

When you give a country a plane like the Yak 9 at the BR it's at, you have to screw it over somewhere. I'm not even counting the pure unadulterated nonsense of most low-tier slavbirds like the Ishak.
I'm still trying to pinpoint where America gets bent over for the Cobras. Might be the F80, never made it up that far.

Dude, I've flown the Peshka nonstop. I'm an expert by now (not really, lel. Most of my bombs hit what I intend to hit.)
Wanna team up and wreck stuff then? Asked you on steam.

Are we having a slav bomber party? Am I invited? Can I force my way in?

woohey finally
That wing paintup is incredible.
Seeing as how I recently maxed my Spit F IX, I took the Typhoon 1b/L out to a match on Hokkaido today.
10 minutes and 6 kills later, its safe to say I have a new favorite plane.
[editline]21st July 2014[/editline]
I mean, its incredibly fast (compared to my Spit IX) armed to the teeth, and still has a good rate of climb. If I like it stock, I can't imagine my opinion of it when I will max it out.
Everyone is talking about the Slavs while I sit here in my Zero.
I'd sit my Zero, but it burst into flames when Slavs were mentioned.
Woo, finally got my PBJ. Of course, the first match I took it out on, a Yak 9T put one burst into me and took both my wings and my tail off. Thank you, glorious vodka devs. :downs:
If the slavs could hit my zero, perhaps it would burst into flames
however, most slav players suck, so I'm reasonably safe from that

Well Yak-9T has a 37mm cannon that was successful at destroying actual tanks, it shouldn't have any issues with a bomber.
Everyone is talking about the Slavs while I sit here in my Zero.
I can't do Japan because all I have left is the F-86-30 and it's just alright. Korea can only be fun for so long when there's only about three or four planes. MiG-15Bad, Sabre/Cannon Sabre, Better German Sabre, and rare fodder Meteor.

Only thing wrong with the 9T is it's tiering and arguably it's FM/DM. As for the cannons, I find any air-cannon so unreliable in tanks that a 100kg bomb is a safer bet. I don't even have much issue with the K anymore. The 9T's 37mm HE should've easily been able to shred your naval B-25.

yeah, i'm more surprised that my plane just disintegrated. i just got it too, it was so disheartening.
at least i have my p39 airacobra, my glorious budweiser-fueled masterpiece.

If you're in something big, you should do your absolute best to avoid anything with a gun bigger than 30mm. In your PBJ, your best bet might be (aside from total avoidance or a head on) to get him tailing your ass in the straightest line possible and to unload your fiddies at about 1.2km or so.
That's given he's retarded and doesn't start trying to take pot-shots that far out as well. :v:
