But he's right. Squadding up makes everything EZ business. In an 8v8 (and provided we're playing low enough tiers to seal club properly :3) it's not uncommon for us to both pick up 3 kills each by sheer virtue of we have someone to shout at for help when things go bad.

Have you ever considered something like [URL=https://www.pidgin.im/]Pidgin?[/URL] I'm not familiar with the back-end of it, But my EvE Corp would use this or Jabber to just send out a "Ping" message to everyone, just letting them know a fleet was going up, who it was under etc.

I don't play the game through steam, so I wouldn't see the pop-up.
I'm still thinkin' the Steam Group is the best bet. No propitiatory anything, pretty universal. I don't think you can have a sound effect for group notifications, but they pop up none less if it's a starting event and you alt-tab out (shibbey.)

I got in a pretty good fight with a K4 in my bearcan and ended up wasting the majority of my ammo on snapshots and such. I finally had the guy good and was about to put a burst into him when a 'friendly' bearcat arrives on my left wing. He proceeded to fly right ontop of me while basically every round he fired hit an important part of my plane. I pull up and gtfo after i lit this german asshole on fire with only 14 rounds to spare and my plane flying on the american dream.
Mr.Clanner McBearcatasshole kills the shit out of this 109 (and basically me, with my crit wing, control surfaces and rekt engine).
My last dying act is to fill him with 14 rounds of .50 cal and ruin his left flap in RIGHTEOUS VENGEANCE before i can crash into german soil.
I'd be up for squadding up later and doing stuff. What do we use for a voicechat program?

We could make one of those chart things with in-game names, FP names, game modes, timezones, and rank in each nation. I have no idea how, but it would be neat to contact people if probably forgotten at some point.

I'd love to, but that's extremely fluid (aka I unlocked a new plane time to change) and more time consuming. We can make an exception (except Japan) where you need 2-3 vehicles to be considered in that "Era" though. So a single Yak-15 doesn't qualify you for V Russia.
