It's faster than MiG-15 [I]on the deck[/I] - as low as possible. It turns better than Panther since the most recent change to the Panther FM.

I think I'm having the problem of how I flew my P40, I have my funny habit of bleeding off speed right after the dive to finish the kill - only to have some sneaky jets latch on to me and instagib me
and even after a standard boom and zoom, I feel like some mig is always waiting at high altitude to score a kill from me
Generally, sabre is a bottom feeder in that it performs the very best very low down. Same applies to pretty much all American jets but the most for Sabre.

From my experience in the completely stock A-5 Sabre:
-- The plane has a colossal control advantage over MiGs at all speeds that only gets better at high speeds. It's extremely easy to scissor a MiG (not like that) due to the extremely good roll rate, and slightly superior turn.
-- Sabres are fucking slick aerodynamically and very heavy. Don't do a normal sustained climb, hit like 900-1000kmh in a straight line, then pitch up 40 degrees. You'll shoot up about 3km and burn off 300km/h. No plane in the game does this better. Use it to climb, use it to escape, use it because you like watching the numbers in the HUD shoot up really quickly.
-- You can dive faster than sound if you're extremely careful, nothing other than another Sabre should be able to follow you.
-- The plane is at its very fastest at low altitudes, specifically sea level. Because being at sea level is a really shit idea in general, try to zoom around at 1000-2000 metres. If you're going fast enough you should be able to bridge the altitude gap between you and any targets above you extremely easily, and you still have some space to dive in an emergency.
-- If you see a CL-13 hold J and call it a tryhard wehraboo.

F-Sabre is just an A-Sabre but with the engine full of crack cocaine so it should work even better there.

Depends on the matchup. You'll almost exclusively go vs MiG-15s with the occasional CL-13 or La-15 (former is scary, latter is free money). You [I]can[/I] out-turn a MiG-15, but you don't want to drop your speed when you can't recover it easily.
I should probably add I only play RB with jets.

You can turnfight quite decently AS LONG as it stays at low altitude AND it's a 1v1 and there's nobody nearby to drop onto your slow ass.

test flew the sabre and holy shit, it retains momentum really well so I can climb like a maglev pointed at space
I actually had a match earlier today in the A-5 Sabre where I ended up against two MiGs and a CL-13 that I recorded a short clip of 'cause I thought it would help and because I like to show off.

There are no engine sounds or speed/altitude measure because the replay system is shit and you need to watch in HD because icons don't turn up unless under very oddly specific situations, but that should show off a bit of Sabre-ing. It actually reminds me of one thing the Sabre is actually supremely good at vs the MiG: Head-ons. The guns on the Sabre have a massive velocity advantage, so you can fire at like 1.5-2km seperation and roll out of the way easily. MiGs roll like shit so they like to fly into a straight line right into your bullets. Works like twice as good if you have stealth ammo.
I also commit super hard to gunning down the CL-13 and that's really reckless but FUCK the CL-13.

I will fly CL-13 as long as F-2 Sabres fuck about (or until Hunter comes out, huehue)

iirc it outperforms the sabre in the same way that the sabre outperforms the Mig-15, so you're left with a plane that has literally no equal competitor.

You must also take into account that the only people who have the CL13 are diehard Wehraboos who have seen so many Beercans, F-80c's, and random BR changes that any ounce of compassion they once had has been flayed and shredded out of reality. So similar to the Japanese Sabre scenario, except the CL actually matches the German playstyle decently, unlike what you're going through, and their plane is just straight up better than yours.
The Cl-13 is pure wehraboo "BnZ is the only mad strat Hartmann is my waifu Deutschland am besten ja ja" distilled into plane form, from only the spergiest of ME163 pilots.
