I think it's ballistics wise the Flak 43 is identical to the 37mm Flak 36 we have on the German flak truck right now, so, 48mm penetration at 100 meters.
Quite a bit higher RoF tho and, well, you get two of them.

Questionably, the T-34s and TDs could do it. Just not easily.
It's less a problem of Germany v. Russia (because for me balance [done right] is better than historical), and more a problem of heavy tanks being universally shit and unappealing. They're balanced to be about on-par in terms of effectiveness, with mediums, without having a singular other upside a medium has - such as respawns, artillery, and speed.

If you are playing Historical then ki-61 hei is a perfectly capable fighter
If you are playing Arcade then your opinion is irrelevant because nobody cares about arcade jockeys

Perfectly capable, but at it's BR, it's kind of useless. Don't get me wrong, I love the Ki-61, but the Otsu is just so much better. Because it doesn't fight Mustangs, Tempest and late Spitfires.

A good Mg151 hit is a near enough instant kill. Two of them is almost overkill.
The issue is that it's the otsu is under ranked if anything, thanks to the pubbies who can't fight in other way than head on or land sucker grazing hits at 800m.

Hei is probably over ranked compared to most things it fights but that's because you almost exclusively fight the USA lol. It's balanced vs everyone else.
So what should I put a talisman onto in order to efficiently grind the American jet line? B-17? B-24? P-51?

They're not really all too wondrous. Solid, but you'd be best enjoying the FOTM F9F-2 until they unfuck it.
I'd recommend the B-17G and faffing about, but they sorta made it (realistically) fragile. The B-24 isn't any better (I find it worse) but it's excellent for the occasional event that pops up versus Japan where you can use it.
Definitely burrcat if you feel no shame and aren't afraid of no shitty jets.

I have been getting put up against Russia a lot in it and for some reason its never just USA, there are always some British planes with them for some reason and its not the premiums.

G8N use to be good. I cannot recommend it at all now. The only thing it's still fun with is to go into Arcade with absurd reload speed, climb to low orbit, and shit bombs out where noone can find you.
Getting teamkilled in simulator because you set a bot on fire that later died when someone else tried to take it out.
This is probably a new low for my war thunder experience.
On the flipside the tiger is tank as fuck in simulator compared to its paperness in realistic.

I hope they find a way to balance it because I find myself dying a lot in my JapSabre and I don't even get a chance to practice the damn plane
on a plus note though, I ended up in a game full of Migs and Me262s and I was able to score more than 1 lucky kill for the first time using the tactics you guys taught me
