Making Hellcats a lower rank than pre-war Ishaks is Russian Bias.
So i just got a tiger.
Any tips?
Get a Panther. :v:
Yeah, pretty sure I'll skip the 9U, just want dem noodleman cannons in the 9P/9UT
I aced the 9U.
Don't play it. It's got alright performance, but the armament is so anemic for it's tier. You can make it work, but the 9P and 9UT are just so much better and diverse.
Just got a Ki-45 tei kwon do Toryu, and took it out for its first flight
'Yoo Passage' (I find this name amusing, heheh)
See three PBYs in the distance at seemingly low altitude, thinking "Let the musik play!"
Get closer to discover they're all floating around in the water in no-man's-land between the US and Japanese points (???)
SOME DAY I'll get to try these upward guns out, but at least I got 3 free kills out of that experience :v:
Kittyhawk has a higher RB BR than the Hellcat and first Corsair.
fucking what

I just noticed the Ki-45 scharge music has a br of 2.0, no wonder I got paired against such low tier planes, 37mm cannons vs bi-planes and pea shooters. [sp]too bad I can't hit shit with that 37[/sp]

me and my buddies sometimes do the ki45tei challenge
essentially, we go into HB with out ki45teis and dogfight other single engine fighters
because the ki45 is stupidly maneuverable (full tuned), we usually end up on their tail fairly quickly. The catch is though, we only use our shrage musiks to down fighters.
The guy who shoots down the most fighters with their shrage music is claimed the winner

Hellcat and Corsair can't take a pounding like either of them, sadly. Even though historically they were tough craft.
Except arcade tanks is full of fucking retards.
I love that everyone in Arcade tonks is 'Tarded, it makes it really easy to rack up kills in tanks like the T60, scout 38t, or T34 1941.
Just started playing and I'm having a blast. Unlocked a few British planes (a blenheim and the hurricane) as well as a german tank. Honestly I find tank play to be a bit shit but that's just me.
Any tips for a newkid? Good planes that i should work towards?

Every airforce has good planes, but it depends on what you want to do. If you want to be agile and lay on the damage, stick with Britain and go down the Spitfire tree. If you like hit-n-run "boom&zoom" tactics, go German because that's the only way they can survive. For durability and firepower at the expense of agility, go Soviet. If you don't want to be a communist, go American because they do pretty much the same thing. And finally if you want to be super-agile, like "I'm defying gravity" agile, but not do much damage, go Japan. I really don't recommend starting off as Japan because flying their tiers I-II is extremely painful.
Also tips for flying bombers? i cant hit shit
What happens when a skill is maxed, and then you have a +30 or +50 bonus from training?
Also tips for flying bombers? i cant hit shit
General Bomber Tips:
- The crosshair is exactly where the bomb will land in either third person or bomb sight mode.
- Adjust bomb drop to your ping (bottom left) as you would a first person shooter. 150+ ping means I have to drop half a second or so early.
- Pillboxes (Light and Not) have no hitbox. Drop bombs on the ground they're on, not them.
- The mini-bases on maps have 3000kg of "health" in AB and 1500kg of "health" in RB. For bombs 250kg or bigger. Damage isn't quite linear to bomb size.
- 100lbs/50kg can't do shit really. Good for soft targets.
- 250lbs/100kg can kill light tanks close, and light pillboxes/other tanks on a direct hit.
- 500lbs/250kg can kill most stuff moderately close. These are the go to all-around bombs. Can kill destroyers on a direct hit.
- 1000lbs/500kg can slap out destroyers with ease. Pretty good splash.
- 2000lbs/1000kg oh shit what are you doing Good for base bombing.
- Gunner AI is fucking worthless 90% of the time. When your new, get use to flying. When you're learned, hop on the gunners.
- You may want to turn off "automatically fly level in gunner sight" in options. I find it annoying.
- In Arcade, each bomb or rocket fires individually. In Realistic, both wings will drop/fire at the same time. 4 x 250kg can actually be 2 drops in RB unless they're centerline/internal.
- Rockets are inaccurate. Some have airburst. RP-6, HVAR, M10, and 73mm Czech (109F-2) rockets can't. Most the others can. Means they explode in air letting you be less accurate.
- Rockets generally require direct hit on any ground target. They're not a good go-to for ground pounding.
- Dive bombers don't get bomb sights in RB. Learn to find a good approach. I use 30 degree dive/0.30km distance from target, but you can do whatever. Even 90 degree dives.
- You can set a timer on your bombs. This is good if you want to fly really low and drop bombs without killing yourself.
General Nation Bombers:
MURRICA: Fucking Brownings EVERYWHERE. Great payloads later on. Chunky as all fuck. Are amazing for soaking up every soft target in existence as well as defending themselves.
NAZIS: Kinda suck. Do-217E and Ju-88A-4 are the only highlights. He 111s are slow as fuck and the later 217s don't get a pilot gun.
SQUATS: Lots of medium bombers. Tu-2 is fucking incredible, but a bit difficult to learn. Yer-2s have the biggest payload. Peshkas are nice to most, and the SB-2Ms are easy
BONGS: I'd avoid this. Paper Wellingtons and then an overtiered Lancaster with shit defensive armament.
GRORIOUS NIPPON: Don't. H6K4 is kinda fun. Then you get a lot of Ki-49s that aren't bad, but aren't really great. G5N handles like a drunken obese bear, G8N is basically broke.
Basically, with bombers. America's your easy mode. Russia has some good early and end-game. Germans are next. Then Nippon. I'd rate Bongs last.

Beaufort and Bleinhelm are alright once you get use to them. Actually borderline OP if you use the turrets right. But their payloads are mediocre.
Beef Wellingtons only get a sorta good payload. Defensive armament is garbage.
Lancaster is woefully overtiered and has an underrepresented payload. That might get fixed in a patch or two, but it's just bad now.
Don't go bong bomber if bombing is your thing.

nah I prefer being a fighter tbh
also, how do I use my 27k research points on researching planes without using eagles?
If you mean free research, you can't, it's just there to tease you along with the "YOU WOULD HAVE MADE THIS MUCH IF YOU DIDNT HAVE PREMIUM", "YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH X, BUY SOME NOW BY PRESSING ANY KEY"
also, how do I use my 27k research points on researching planes without using eagles?
You don't. It's the same as "Free" XP in World of Tanks. As in it's not free and you have to spend money.
Trust me, I'm sitting on a pool of like 16 million of it.
well that sucks ;_;
is premium worth it or just junk?
Its fucking amazing if you can afford it without noticing. I can't imagine playing non-premium now, because a bad match will at least get you 1k or so of RP.
I love playing the P-39N-0(SU) so much (AB) because it plays so much like a shitty jet
see an enemy, dive down, excuse me sir do you have a moment to talk about FOOM

climb back up and repeat

At least in CARB, I manage to regularly kill King Tigers and such with Tu-2/B-25 100kg bombs, and I seriously doubt I always get a direct hit, it's not really hard at all.
[editline]30th July 2014[/editline]
With a 250kg bomb you can get a 3x kill on tanks that are good ten meters apart from each other.
