You could try limiting your upload speed in the launcher, if it lets you. If I upload at my max, the entire internet slows to a broken crawl, so I limit to 10kbps upload. It gives a balance between allowing enough upload so the downloads aren't throttled to a non sharing leach, and not breaking my shitty net
