I just started playing the Hellcat a few days ago after playing high tier Germany nearly exclusively for the past forever, and I'm just shocked at how fun and ridiculous it is compared to everything it fights. My very first match with it saw either 4 or 5 kills, and I had it aced in under an hour. Even now I've had so much success with it that I haven't even figured out what form of fighting it specializes in.
If the corsairs are that good I'll definitely need to give them a shot next.

Actually the german mig can fly missing a wing if you turn to one side and use the rudder to keep it level :v:

It's because MM puts everyone with equals. Nobody wants to play panther D vs panther D, but it continues for fucking ever. There's no light in the end of the tunnel either, because when you get to the next panther you're going to see the same tank.
In other words, there's no "You win this round, but I will get a better tank and beat you.", it's just "We are equals, and you won. We will continue to fight in equal conditions until I beat you"
The six vehicle requirement really fucks it up too. Because everyone brought their Medium, Heavy and Tank Destroyer.
The MM and vehicle requirement makes sense for aviation, and you get to be more picky about what you engage, but as a tank your "only" other option is sit on your ass.
I will never understand all the hatred towards the Panther D - the gun has great penetration, ez-mode trajectory for precision shooting at range, it's competitively mobile, and it can take hits almost as well as a heavy yet still has [I]two spawns and artillery[/I].
It's not like the later ones are exactly the same as the ausf D, either. For only a 1.0 BR change, you get: APCR, an improved gun-mantlet, more side armour, and a new turret. There's also other similar BR jumps with very few changes (*cough* T-34-85 and Pz IV G *cough*).
I felt like T-34-85(D-5T) -> T-34-85 was a bigger jump than from Ausf. D to Ausf. A as T-34-85 aims amazingly fast and is basically the most wild west hot shot thing.

The Mosquito XVIII is the most Useless plane in the game. Sure it has a 57mm gun but it fires so slowly and inaccurately that you'll never hit anything with it. It's too weak to do damage to destroyers and too inaccurate to hit ground units or planes. You can't even hit bombers with it because the fighters will beat you to them because the Mosquito is so slow anyway.
Did no-one tell the devs that the plane was designed to kill U-boats, they aren't even in the game.

It's alright at killing tanks and light pillboxes. Vickers P is just better.

It's a fine ground pounder but both Mosquitos are sadly over ranked and under performing (they're using a damaged variant as a base and even then they magically added ~800kg to the flight model anyway?)
Apparently blowing off a wing isnt even enough to kill the soviet p63. Blew off ones wing, he goes right into the ocean, I don't even get kill credit. I was the only one to damage him too.

If you think the B-17s suck then you haven't tried the Wellington grind. 4 Planes that are all almost identical, all have terrible speed and maneuverability. They all have fewer machine guns than the any of the American bombers, they're crippled if you get shot once in the tail. I envy every single B-17 I see while flying in my Wellington.
The best part about getting an IS-2 is that I can now bring the Tu-2 into CARB

Nothing I love more than bringing my Duck or ME410 50mm to CARB and getting assraped by YAKs.
Every time I try to fly the duck I reaffirm myself that it's okay to shoot them down immediately as it's nothing but coup de grâce to put them out of their misery. The plane is pain to fly at all. Shooting one down does the pilot a favor.
