decided to try out the nippon ground target belt on my Shiden this morning
these things just rip shit up jesus christ
P-80 is a pile of shit, F-80C is pretty good.
What is the difference between these two? Historically I think they only had slightly different engines, and in game the only immediately visible difference is the slower firing fiddycals
they are both at least fast enough that I cant chase them for long in my Ki-200 so they certianly arent Yak-15 tier bad so I really cant imagine why the P-80 is all that bad for having 6.3 BR.
P-80's acceleration is completely atrocious and it burns all of its energy in a single 180 degree turn. It's the most absolute pure BnZ aircraft in the game because it simply can't do anything else. It's underpeforming pretty heavily, almost as bad as the Yak-15 is, and hopefully it will get fixed soon. F-80C meanwhile keeps energy very well, (still not as good as the F-84 which is secretly amazing but bads can't get off the runway) accelerates decently, actually climbs, and is pretty undertiered so it's easy enough to use. Overheats though.
Difference between the 80A and the 80C IRL are: modification of the same engine (Allison J-33) to produce roughly 24KN of thrust (up from about 19-20, pretty major) and the addition of an ejector seat. The F80C was also somewhat cheaper to produce. Otherwise it's the same airframe, a bit quicker, slightly heavier.
Okay know what really fucking pisses me off?
UFO's. Fucking guy is inactive, climbing to 8000m, revolving around the map while ALL of his team mates are dead. Yet this guy just cruises around for 10 fucking minutes, with all of us unable to catch up because he's in a pay to win plane.
I know they have a thing against AI planes doing it, but why not players too? He did FUCK ALL that round, he should have just been reported as MIA and we get the win.
But oh no, has to have a pay to win plane. Can fly up to 10000m, and just fuck the enemy team up completely.
So fucking frustrating. Either it's a horrendous team I have, or a dicknut like this guy. That or I get fucked up, and my team wins resulting in my first win containing 600rp.
what was he flying??
I'm fairly sure it was the American Spitfire MK IX or whatever. Infinite climbing ability, and probably on a full tank, so it was impossible. I've seen it out climb D-13's. Round ended before anyone got even close.
Latest match I had had another UFO in it. Waited until 35 minutes, 15 minutes into the battle before coming down from 9000m. The fuck man.

how is that pay to win though?
the premium spits are pretty much exactly the same as the non-premium ones (worse in many cases actually)

Hey, count yourself lucky it wasn't a P-47.

I've seen them out climb my fully upgraded Mk. 22. That's pretty bad.
Last night someone tried to turnfight my Yak-9 in a German P-47. At low altitude too.

Welcome to the big dick club, enjoy getting your asshole stretched by cl13s.
I wouldn't say that the game is pay2win It's more like pay2progress
I wouldn't say that the game is pay2win It's more like pay2progress
There were a few FOTM premium planes, and still are. But that's about it.
There's no premium ammo or payloads, but the module grinding game on jets is fucking absurd/broken. 180 matches to ace a Sabre/MiG? No thanks.

its not like they give the premiums special FMs or anything, they just port them over from the non-premium versions

American Ki-61 is like two ranks lower than the Japanese one, that's the only thing I can think of.
Hitlerbolt doesn't have to play with America teams, that's pretty p2w if you ask me.
You guys keep talking about jets and shit but i'd glad if i could unlock my first tier 4 plane.

the grind is worse than korean MMOs.

Grinding isn't that bad if you have premium, and if you're seriously trying to grind I don't see why you wouldn't have it
Yeah premium just makes shit go by real quick. Wasn't even trying really hard to unlock the f9f until I noticed I had only 30k RP left and I was like alright and then I just went and played mustang matches and a few other random shit until I got it in a couple hours. I actually super rarely play american nowadays because of all the b-17s, but I guess the 4x week got me pretty close, so I just went for it
Grinding isn't that bad if you have premium, and if you're seriously trying to grind I don't see why you wouldn't have it
Because it's expensive as fuck. I refuse to support these f2p games that cost more than actual paid games. I'd be ok with paying like 40-50 bucks and getting EVERYTHING but i'm not gonna pay 40 bucks and only get 2 months of premium.

$49 would actually get you about six months which is way more than enough time to get to every nation's jets. You're still better off getting packs or waiting for premium discounts though, in which it was once possible to nab a whole year for $49. If you ever want to progress fast in your typical F2P MMO, you gotta cough up for premium. Otherwise you might as well be working in a sweatshop.
You're never gonna get a F2P MMO that will let you "get everything" for $50-60 or everyone would do that and you might as well not even make it F2P. They need their spergburgler cash cows, so if the average player spends $15-30 with a few enthusiasts going up to $100 and then a few retards going up to $2700 - it's a much better model for them.

Path of Exile, dota 2, killer instinct, unturned, lord of the rings online, neverwinter, TERA rising, Hearthstone, warframe, smite, loadout?

The value you get out of premium depends on how often you play. If you just play an hour every other day then there's no point in having premium, but if you're going to be playing everyday for 3+ hours then you might as well get it.
Path of Exile, dota 2, killer instinct, unturned, lord of the rings online, neverwinter, TERA rising, Hearthstone, warframe, smite, loadout?
While I agree, their prices are absurd, it's ridiculous to compare MMO's like that. If you're not going to put ANY money at all into the game, you'll likely have a very hard time regardless.
For $40 however, you could buy 2x Premium Planes, Premium Membership(only buy 1 day when you need it) and some crew points, as far as I know, there is no real way to Pay2Win with the exception of the RP conversion system but that's incredibly expensive and only used for when you only have a bit of RP left to unlock on a certain plane
TL;DR, Buy the Russian B-25, buy Premium for 1 day everyday of the week, Play RB and bomb stuff, Get shit loads of RP, get Mig-9 in a week.
[editline]21st August 2014[/editline]
I highly recommend everyone here NOT to buy your Premium in bulk, It is so much more cost effective to buy 1 day memberships at the beginning of the day you plan to grind out through.
The discount does not make up for the fact that you pretty much lose most of your Premium's value by not making full use of it 24/7
I'd be ok with paying like 40-50 bucks and getting EVERYTHING
The sad truth is is that games that do this very quickly die because nobody wants to drop 50 bux on an unknown game from an unknown dev, and with no incentive to continue playing (unlocking vehicles) people just get bored and piss off, you would also have the problem of complete shitlords immediatly jumping into high rank games (not that they don't already, but...). This type of game is also expensive as hell to make, especially considering the detail they put into the models and maps, and especially considering how much of a pain in the ass it is to make flight models and find adequete data on them.

I just bought 2 packs which included 2 months of premium, like 5k eagles and a premium plane or two. That was pretty cost effective, I think.
Loadout?
I'm not gonna claim to know any of those games on that list except Warframe and Loadout, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that $60 will not get you all the painfully grindy weapon parts in Loadout unless they've massively changed things since I've come back. The cosmetic stuff in that was hilariously expensive too, like Jesus, $40 something to run around with your censored dick out.
If I wanted to sit and do a needless laundry list of games where "$50 won't even make a dent in sans premium time" we'd be here for awhile. A lot of the ones you mentioned I'm 99% certain won't let you "get everything" for $50, that is if everything is every single weapon/unlock, attaining highest rank, etc. You could easily drop a fat $250 on TF2 and not even make a dent in the amount of different weapons available.
If you want a flight sim where you get everything from the get go, War Thunder ain't it. I don't even know what is. IL-2 1946? I don't know if Wings of Prey is any good either, War Thunder's previous gambit. But at the end of the day, you're not missing out on jack shit really. Most War Thunder jets fit a very niche style, set of maps, and set of enemies. Honestly, it's really boring most of the time. Some of the best planes and best fun are in Eras I to III, with a few exceptions in IV.
Path of Exile, dota 2, killer instinct, unturned, lord of the rings online, neverwinter, TERA rising, Hearthstone, warframe, smite, loadout?
A lot of these are either remakes/sequels to already well known games, or made by developers that already have money and experience, or are already done-before game archetypes (like WoW-style-MMOs or shooters) that are likely to be successful. A bunch of no name slavs doing a F2P arcade flight title that's at the exact same time a simulator (well they try) that also wants to dabble in tank combat and eventually be a battleship simulator is ambitious at best and at worst sounds like a scam.
Not that I am saying the game's payment model is perfect but you can't hold every game to the same standard. Yeah, DOTA2 is pure F2P and nothing you can buy affects gameplay, but WC3 Dota players could probably form their own continent with numbers and it's fucking Valve, they could release a sequel to Bad Rats and people would jump on it.

IL-2 1946 with mods is probably your best bet but it's a pain in the arse to mod and the community is very small these days. Battle of Stalingrad is expensive as shit, too. Rise of Flight is cool (hey guys remember when we played that? we should do that again).
Also jets are fun you're just flying boring subarus when you should be flying the mog

I don't like either of them. Not that I've tried the MiG-15 yet, but god damn if I'm not tired of Korea and the horrible BR bracket there. You almost feel bad clubbing 262s.
Also, I was so fucking terrible at Rise of Flight, but it's such a nice game. I think I shot one person down. ONE. IN OUR FOUR HOUR DICKABOUT.
