It's been even worse lately. Just now I was chasing a B-25 into the dirt. He was just about to crash into a hill when some other guy strolls up, shoots a grand total of half a burst and a mean stare at the thing and gets the kill credit while I don't even get the assist.

You died, boo hoo, you might have died to enemy just as well at any time, I just happen to a bit liberally redefine who's friend and who's foe when somebody actively stands between me and muhhh killssss.
I don't lose my sleep over getting my kill stolen from me (even when it's a wingless B-17 in a fiery spiral of death), but if somebody has the bile to take an obviously dead plane, I expect them to take the death.
Also, if somebody apologizes when I call them out, I never teamkill them afterwards.

From what I know, the shiden rockets have a pretty hefty blast radius and since I suck at aiming rockets beyond 500 meters, I have it explode at 400
Works pretty well - I find it rather easy to gib people at head ons, and it's sorta funny 'cause most casual players don't really expect Japanese planes to have rockets
I let my niece play Warthunder and she ends up shooting down two planes with an SBD-3.... A Lagg 1 and an A-20.

Depends which rocket. Russian little 80mm somethings? The rocket almost has to touch them for it to be useful.
