I don't understand the hype behind jet releases. It's not like anybody is going to get them anyways.
If I actually wanted to, I could have ground out the new jets easy. I already got the La-15 without even meaning to. I think they're trying to make Era V more interesting, is all. Might help if I didn't play Korea 20+ times in a row.
I don't understand the hype behind jet releases. It's not like anybody is going to get them anyways.
Just today I've grinded out half of the Ta-152 with a premium plane but without premium membership, and its only been like 5 hours of on-and-off flying. If you really want to unlock a jet its not that hard to accomplish, especially if you're already in Tier IV.

The problem I have grinding in this game is that I lose interest after a while and stop playing and then come back to it weeks and some times even months later. I haven't even touched aircraft since ground forces were released because I got tired of being swarmed by fighters everything I tried doing anything although I might get back into them to get the Ho-229, even if it is bad because it's such a cool-looking aircraft.
So. Many. Planes. http://www.warbirdsnews.com/warbirds-news/wilson-connie-edwards.html

I'm no ace and I only have 100 hours split over two years (with only about 70 in historical), and I have 2 Tier 5's for Germany, working onto Tier 3 for America, almost all of Tier 2 for Russia, most of Tier 3 for England, and nothing for Japan. Anyways, if all you wanted was a jet you should have just worked on one nation.
So. Many. Planes. http://www.warbirdsnews.com/warbirds-news/wilson-connie-edwards.html
ALL DOS 109s.

Just don't play arcade because it is bad and also has shit rewards. idk how I even have that many arcade hours, I thought I had far more hours in realistic. And I also apparently have around 11 hours in sim battles, possibly a bug showing my tank hours as fighter hours, but I have actually played a few hours worth of sim battles in fighters, but I didn't think it was 10
Well, according to my stat card i've got 190 hours of arcade and 20 hours of realistic.
Well, according to my stat card i've got 190 hours of arcade and 20 hours of realistic.
well theres your problem. arcade [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] terrible rewards [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] Also terrible FM and combat in general
According to stats I have 4 days in arcade (96 hours) 27 days in RB (648 hours) 1 day and 9 hours in FRB (33 hours) At total of nearly 800 hours, I have literally all planes in Russia, Germany, and Britain, missing the Sabre in japan, and missing all the Sabres and the F-5 panther in USA, but that's it. I am waiting for Venom quite eagerly, honestly.
Vampire is already an extremely enjoyable plane (if a bit hard to use). "Better Vampire" is fair enough to me, it sees top rank aircraft every game anyway.
well theres your problem. arcade [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] terrible rewards [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] Also terrible FM and combat in general
Arcade's rewards are only bad if you do bad. Power grinding in arcade is usually faster. It's retarded, but faster. Only change in that rule is for daily doubles or whatever. Granted, once you really sit down and get use to RB, it is really hard to go back to the ballpit.

Hell, I started a dogfight with three enemy fighters in the first Me-410, won, and then proceeded to single-handedly wipe out every ground unit. Then I went back into RB and crashed my Hs-129 before it even left the ground. Yep.
Oh, you will get good at it. You will also be disgusted. :v:

RB is much more in your hands and even then an amazing RB game kicks the ass of an amazing arcade game. I've brushed 90k RP on a 4x in RB and I've never seen an AB game come remotely close.
I have over 200 hours in game, split almost evenly between arcade and realistic, maybe about 20 or so more realistic hours, and I'm only on tier 3 American (one plane away from getting tier 4 though), tier 3 German, tier 4 Soviet, tier 2 British and tier 2 Japanese

It takes that long just to get into the air and get flying in RB. I use to be able to slap out three Arcade wins in the time it would take for one good RB. As for RB being more in your hands, it's a real toss up. Killing people means a lot more, but your own team can also drag you down. RB is no way in your hands unless you're playing a (good) fight-capable plane that doesn't get shat on by MM and still has more than half the team (of fighters, not spacebar vibrators) after take-off. Wherein AB, bring a few attackers/bombers and you can just pull matches yourself with the ground targets. I'm not saying Arcade is good, and it's definitely something you shouldn't play at IV or higher (or even III really), but it -is- faster for an aimless grind. Especially if you want to slap out parts. RB always wins out with doubles/quads/etc though and has higher match rewards, but you'll spend longer in it. I'm just saying that per time taken, AB will get your grinding done faster at the cost of sanity. It also can help you pull shit planes through parts. If I actually want a plane, I'll load up a good premium/talisman'd plane in RB though and enjoy the 10k RP loses over and over. If you're sole intent wasn't like mine - to get tons and tons of modules evenly across nations/planes as quickly as possible, you shouldn't be playing Arcade. If Arcade wasn't a thing, I wouldn't have my 400 something spades. v:v:v
OH MY FUCK when did they make the last Ki-84 cost 48,000 silver to repair??? IT IS LITERALLY FOUR TIMES AS ECONOMICAL TO FLY MY SUSHI AT THIS POINT [editline]29th August 2014[/editline] this is almost as bad as the time the N1Ks cost like 50k to repair
OH MY FUCK when did they make the last Ki-84 cost 48,000 silver to repair??? IT IS LITERALLY FOUR TIMES AS ECONOMICAL TO FLY MY SUSHI AT THIS POINT
It's like the best prop in the game you can still make a profit with it.
I have near 200 hours, I have a FW 190 D-12 for the highest rank for Germany, uh.. I'm researching the P51 on American, not anywhere close to getting a bearcat. Almost have the Meteor for Brits. And 0 on Japs.
I'll load up a good premium/talisman'd plane in RB though and enjoy the 10k RP loses over and over.
What is the advantage of premium planes or the talisman? Also in general I'm finding it hard to find good resources on this game and end up having to sift through forum shit just to answer stuff that should already be answered in the game.

Talisman effectively doubles a non-premiums RP (but not silver) gain. For example, putting a talisman on my Tu-2S-59 made it go from a 10k RP mediocre win to a 20k RP mediocre win. Talismans get expensive on high tier planes, so only put it on ones you know you can haul serious RP in. As for premiums, do your research and test fly before you buy. Almost everyone here can fill you in on one if there's a specific one you want to ask about.

Typically premiums that aren't copypastes are harder to use curiosities than their contemporaries (ie Boomerang/D.520 are probably worse than Spit 2B in most situations, Typhoon 1B is outclassed massively by its /L cousin, XIVc is probably the worst Griffon, and etc for the other countries) but mostly a lot of fun. If you're out for pure grind talismans are usually better.
