Playing RB in my T-44 on carpathians. Game goes swell, inept-ass teammates get shat on by tiger 1s, I in turn shit on 2 tigers and 2 panthers, also managed to shoot down a plane that was rushing me head on.
Que no ground opfor and me getting shot at, bombs dropped on me by a swarm of stukas. Died via 1000kg while capping. >:c

The issue with Canberra guns is that British Canberra didn't have guns until B(I).6 which had CONSIDERABLY better engines than the variants we are getting now and it might easily be quite overpowered compared to current top tier jet fighters, let alone american early Canberra with guns. It would be also completely stupid if Americans had a Canberra with guns and Brits didn't, so putting in unarmed Canberras is really the smallest evil here.
Remember the Canberras we are getting are already much better at both flying and bombing than the other nations bombers so it they had guns and better engines it wouldn't be fair if the slightest.
By the way, Lassar said the gun armed canberras still aren't out of question and there's a chance they will be implemented later, depending on balance of the current lineup.

Dive down, spot something silverish.. proceeding on the guys blindspot I line up a shot and let out 2x mgs and 3x cannons.
Nothing happens and the guy crashes into a tree trying to avoid me.

I don't see how It's stupid. One's armed and the other isn't? It's historic to the aircraft. Now i know there are a lot of things that don't go the way of history in the game but when it can be possible I do want the aircraft up to snuff on there specifications.

As Shibb pointed out even B-57A technically shouldn't get into the game all and basically only passes on the technicality of "well, Brits get the practically same thing".
And even as is, B-57A is already better than the Mk2 Brits are getting.
There's no reason why America should get a better plane than everyone else, while breaking the rules. That would be far more leeway than Russia is getting.

I guess the B-45 but you would have to seriously gimp the payload, and given that the B-45 is even more fuckhuge than the Canberra, nobody would want to fly it if it couldn't carry shit for bombs.

Well I think the B-57A is an okay choice and we will see how it performs. If it turns out it's too weak they can always put in B-57B and the British B(I)6 later.
I feel like they are just very very scared of jet bombers being OP in general, remember how long it took them to take the vanilla Arado off the top rank?

It seems like absolute doodoo in the vertical plane and mostly terrible in the horizontal plane especially at speed. Its fast in a straight line but still cant outrun sea jesus or shooting stars. It seems like a generally shit plane.
Fly it like a Fw-190, climb like crazy, come screaming out of the clouds at ludicrous speed and take a bite out of someone, swoop away.

I think the mig 9 just sucks. I've never had trouble taking them down. If I manage to get caught in their nose though, god help me. Russian jets have sick gun loadouts.

Most of the time I genuinely feel like my D-13 is superior to the Mig-9, there's been several game where I kill multiple 9's without too much trouble and I'm only a decent pilot.
Sometimes, I think it would be fun to fly my (stock) 190 A-5 and git gud at BnZ fighting. Then I encounter an entire team of La-7s/Yak-3s 1km above me and think, "why did I bother?"

Fly the /U2 instead
MiG-9 can't handle sea Jesus because sea Jesus is simply op. Its a decent match for F-80c by handling higher altitudes and low speeds better.

it's not a ton but it's still noticable (on some planes more than others, admittedly, like for example a fully upgraded Ki-84 is an entirely different beast than a stock one)
All P-51's real strengths (energy retention, dive speed, roll rate, high speed agility) are the exact same as they are on the stock aircraft. It just patches up your weaknesses (your mediocre acceleration turns into moderately acceptable but still not good acceleration).
Only planes that really rely on upgrades are 109s/Yaks/Lalas that are 100% reliant on their power:weight and jets that have the control surface boosters to unlock.
