I belly pounced his bird into the runway when I met him the next game to regain my honour.
I did an arcade battle just last night to get me back into the groove of things. While I was out in the sticks away from everyone trying to kill an enemy attacker, a teammate comes in and tries to shoot through me. He sets me on fire and the attacker's tail gunner shoots him down.
Well, the J7W1 has it's elevator fixed now, but it has yet another bug:

honestly theres not much else for a B-17 or B-24 to do on a hokaido mission but to play whale-wars with a lancaster. It's that or fly in circles and wait for a spit or a meteor to jump you.

You aimed down before starting the roll and pointlessly loaded the front wheel tho.
When you don't do that it takes off without issues and flies alright, I have tried it.

They shot down 4 FW190s while I was just flying straight.
