it's still hard to believe its real. I had to belly-land my F7F yesterday on a dirt runway and I didn't gib into a billion pieces and my aircraft wasn't shaking itself apart once I came to a full stop. its like the ground is actually made of the ground instead of jello now.

I (and everyone who began playing before certain date) had default settings of WS being pitch, AD being roll. Later in default settings they put throttle on WS and if what you are saying is true then they removed roll as well, bit I would heavily recommend binding it like that.

Is matchmaking still based on stats or is it actually decent?
I am wanting to re-install after a brief hiatus caused by going up against a MiG-9 in my late war Typhoon, but at this rate I really don't care about anything except maybe trolling around and getting the Hawker Hunter whenever that is released.

it's based off BR weight. Aircraft can only meet each other within a certain range of their BR weight, I think it's like 1.2 or something.
Was there a hotfix or something today? It's making me download a 100mb patch thats taking forever to download.
By the way, they fixed the J7W and it's fucking good now. I just got my first Canberra kill in it.
It's damage model is broken tho and literally [I]slightest[/I] amount of damage anywhere on it will kill your elevators and sometimes ailerons too.
so I flew the J7W and here's how I feel about it
-turns like a bus
-flammable
-cannot climb
-accelerates megafast
-can dive super fast
-difficult to stall
-can maintain control at high speeds
-doesn't bleed speed when cutting the elevator all the way (while sideways)
-roll is everage
how am I supposed to use this plane? BnZ?

I'm basing my J7W impression on my play experience all day yesterday
Got TK'd by some KV-1 at the start of the match. Later on, literally 1 second before the match ended I managed to blow him up in revenge. Ultimate satisfaction
So if you don't explode by just touching the ground now does that mean I can finally land my damaged planes without them ripping their wings and tail off and becoming too damaged to repair?

Energy retention is off the fucking charts you can zoom around all day and this plane refuses to go slow. Roll rate is literally perfect. It dives 900km/h IAS without the wings coming off. It instagibs every fighter with its stupid firepower. I am in love.

the climb rate says ~41.2m/s now
what the flying fuck? It also climbs faaaaaaaaaast. (pretty sure I figured out that pitching the aircraft 20 degrees on WEP lets it skyrocket)
Also to clarify on the flammable part, once it catches fire, it seems to kill me instantly. It takes rounds like a boss but when I played yesterday, I died a couple times to fire which tore my plane apart faster than a flaming zero

Also mouse controls seem a bit slow when pitching the elevator up and the instructor still has the tendency to wobble the plane left and right (at low speeds), I think I'll stick to using the joystick for now since I feel like the aircraft could be flown a little better
