Holy fuckballs the KV-1B is good.
I can snipe and brawl with it equally good. It just eats shells.
Except for when a T-34-57 shows up.

Yeah T-34-57 is pretty much the only thing you regularly meet and have to be really wary of, but that pretty much just means you need to murder them before they murder you.

They murder everything, really. :v:
And I just got the Adamant award after a plane kept shooting at me and crashed into me, without doing any damage what so ever.
Even if it is a slow fatty, it's fun as fuck to roll around in.
crashed into me
Planes haven't done any damage crashing into tanks/boats for a year or more. Which I'm fine for, for CARB, but there were a few battles I clutched by crashing shit like an He-111 into a AI heavy tank. :v:
Why the fuck are they still playing awful maps like karelia, does anybody actually enjoy playing in that garbage arena?
Why the fuck are they still playing awful maps like karelia, does anybody actually enjoy playing in that garbage arena?
It's perfectly fine for reserves.

It's my favourite map

Damn 3.7cm. Only 1 shell penetrated.

Still better thank Kursk.

Domination Kursk AKA "You are on point A, you capped it, good job. Now watch helplessly as your team loses because the enemy got B and C and even if it was in your power to kill all the enemies yourself, you cannot even drive to the other two points before the match is over.
It's my favourite map
Poland master race.

how did that even pen the KT?
Karelia and Ash River are tied for my favorite map from the original set, pre-green Kursk being my least favorite just because it was too open. Kursk was fun at first, but after all the Russian players figured out about sneaky Germans sneaking around the eastern flank on the hill, it got really repetitive.
I've only seen Mozdok in 1.43, but I've only played a handful of games. Can't wait to see the Poland map

I get Poland quite regularly, on realistic it's very easy to grab a few kills, and on Arcade it's jsut down right retarded how many kills you can get.
brits are only good till tier 5, then their skill level drops to 0
brits suck at jets. every match is a loss.
I mean it'd pay off if I had premium to go along with this shitty meteor to at least get some upgrades
but no, no of course not. 30,000 per upgrade is absolutely fucking needed because we want you to pay to have a decent plane tovarish )))))))))))))))))))
how did that even pen the KT?
Looks like he hit the roof. 40mm thick, that thing has 55mm pen. Coulda happened.
I remember that sound. Where is it from?
And the new gun Sounds, especially the MG17, are so satisfying.
What's this new spotting system I keep hearing everybody talk about?
Somebody asked about range finding, you do so using your crosshair and the mil system.
Medium tanks (pz IV and t-34) are roughly 3m wide by 6m long:
Distance = 3,000/Mil - (Change to 6,000 when spotting the target from the side)

That T-34 is 12 mil long, so 6,000/6 = 1000m, divide that by 2 and you get 500m
I prefer to divide by half the value and them divide by 2 because its easier for me to process smaller values.
This is just to get you a more accurate first shot, don't spend more them 2s trying to calculate this.

reminds me of johny 5
This new tank progression feels awful.
Sure the Ostwind is 50,000RP. But it's taken me all day to get it with normal vehicles/premium account.
Maybe I'm just spoiled from the Tu-2S-59 printing me 10k+ RP every match.

name tags only show up for planes that are 6km or closer. Even if they are being targeted by team members
Hows the IL-28 in terms of manoeuvrability?
name tags only show up for planes that are 6km or closer. Even if they are being targeted by team members
That explains a lot. It did feel a lot closer in. I prefer that over spotting from 20km like before.
I noticed too that Skyrocket doesn't lose its wings on a 6G turn anymore. (It's 10-11G now, by the way as I just found out.) Makes the plane a hell of a lot better than before. Unfortunately the .50s aren't anywhere near as good as I remember though, so I guess it's a tradeoff.

Glad to see most of my problems with War Thunder's meta are still intact 2 major patches and months later. Although, the shortened spot distance does help a bit. So that's nice.
NO ONE TOLD ME THAT THE KUGELBLITZ FIRES FROM ONE CONTINUOUS BELT THAT DOES NOT OVERHEAT WITH 1200 (600 per gun) ROUNDS OF AMMO.
I was trying arcade testflight and for some reason even with instructor mostly off it refuses to take off, but the realistic one works fine so did some flying with that
Not quite as agile as I'm used to with japan but the speed, the speed is great
also 4 centerline 30mm's
I'm 1/5th of the way to finishing researching mine so far, hopefully can get it by the end of the week
I tried realistic and ended up on Iwo Jima with another J7W1
we both accelerated and couldn't even clear the runway and we crashed into the bushes
I heard from two differemt pilots that the elevator doesn't seem to work below ~200kmh which makes the plane tricky on takeoff and landings
Looks like he hit the roof. 40mm thick, that thing has 55mm pen. Coulda happened.
i think the more important question is, how did the 3.7cm flaktruck acquire wings to be able to shoot it from above

I found I had to keep the nose angle down during takeoff (like, had my mouseaim point aimed like 30 degrees below the the actual nose) and that was the only way to get it to accelerate on the runway, then once I got to 300km I was able to takeoff

This is actually the future I wished for.
