What is a P-63's weakness? I'm flying a Ki-84 and they seem to do everything better than I can. They even seem to catch up to me if given enough time.
Don't bother. They overperform like a motherfucker.
To add to that, I can't get over how crappy the Ki-84's guns are. I was chasing down an AFK Spitfire. I flew up to 200 meters away and it took at least 50 consecutive hits, and they were hits, to do any damage to him. I mean, the plane is fantastic otherwise but God damn is it frustratingly hard to actually kill anything.

Tigercats are grossly undertiered, holy shit.
Awesome, all the planes that were once really solid to me are now popping their wings at abysmally low speeds. I use to basically ignore the Mustang's G-Forces, but oh no, shallow 550kph dive followed by turn = dead wings. I think I managed to break the A6M5 Ko's at 450.
Should I totally swap over to IAS?
Also, is the I-185 really suppose to be able to out-accelerate a Mustang at 6000m?
tigercats are only OP in the right hands

the bearcat is a terrible plane, needs a lower BR
Right out of the mouth of a Tigercat pilot who acted insanely retarded the entire match and still bagged a low-flying Tu-2S-59. They basically fly themselves.
[sp]That same match, one was given a ground start and FAILED TO TAKE OFF.[/sp]
I'm saying that as not only someone who somehow gets put in the same matches as them in a Ki-84, but also as someone who has one and has flown one. It's like flying a jet in a prop match. They are uncatchable and to make matters worse get bomber air starts on some maps.
[editline]13th October 2014[/editline]
The only reason you should ever use TAS is for navigational purposes. IAS is significantly more important because that's the speed your plane thinks it's flying at, and defines how your plane will behave no matter the altitude.

not like a TU-2 is hard to kill. Only issue with killing them is having to out-accelerate them. The Tigercat's able to do that so thats pretty much why they're so good.
Granted they compress really really badly past 600 km/h.
For anyone, somehow, having issues with tigercats, just turn once one is within 2 km/h of you, because they can not follow you in a turn.
You wanna know what the greatest feeling is?
Doing the objective as an A6M5 Ko because your bomber/attacker buddies aren't, and getting pounced on by a F7F.
And then he misses his first pass.
And the second.
And on the third, you fire an angry warning shot.
And he's 0.80km away, flying away.
And that little HEF-T rounds is flying out.
And it's going.
And still going.
And *DING*
Off goes the F7F's wing.
not like a TU-2 is hard to kill.
It was more of a "I'm surprised this person can breathe" kind of thing. Not that he killed a ~Tu-2S-59~ specifically.
I never
ever
ever get that lucky
usually I fire 40 rounds of upgraded 20mm and it sparks/hits
then they turn and roflstomp me
then I proceed to ALT+F4

This is after like 20 hilarious failures, head-ons, crashes, and getting insta-gibbed from stray fire.
I wish I was that lucky all the time. It was an exceptionally good match, I'm now like one match away from the J7W
I have opposite of luck like that. I was in my bearcan and fired at a TU-2 from a Klick away as my engine was in the process of sputtering out. The rounds fell short and hit a friendly P-51 diving by and pilot sniped him. ugh.
So when it comes to a heavy bomber's payload, bigger is always better, right?
I can choose between 50kg (x32), or 250kg (x8) for this He-111 H-16.

50kgs are basically worthless except for the softest of soft targets now. So yeah, you want 250 x 8.

Is this the same for bases?

Loving teh epic kill streak bombers and 3 respawn limit gaijin!
Is this the same for bases?
Bases don't use a perfectly linear scale for damage, but it's close.
In Arcade, base health is about 3000kg/6000lbs (give or take); and in Realistic 1500kg/3000lbs.
War Thunder kinda sorta almost uses a 1kg = 2lbs ratio with bomb damage, or so it seems to me, really. You generally never want 50kg/100lbs bombs unless it's your only option as they're only good for spamming/soft targets/planes, and 100kg/250lbs should be reserved only if you're really, really accurate. 250kg/500lbs are the go-to all-rounder bombs.
So what's the best nation to grind now? I haven't played since the update. I'm tier 3 murrica, tier 4 Germany, tier 4 Soviets, tier 2 britbongs and tier 2 Japan

Brits is good and fun, Americans are good and fun, Germans are mostly good and fun, Soviets are mostly good and fun.
I've had the most fun with the Brits, granted I haven't reached end game with them. But Hispanos are probably the best cannon in the game.

And Japanese are honorable.
America if you want to be pampered and enjoy absurdly good planes stocked, with internal ammo factories, with abysmal teams that crash frequently on take-off.
Germany if you want marginally good planes, with rampant hit-detection issues, and want occasionally above-average teams.
Russia if you want mostly good planes, enjoy downgrading into NS-23 nightmares, and want marginally below-average teams.
Britain if you want solid planes, have a Hispano dakimakura, enjoy fighting Americans for some reason, and want average teams.
Japan if you want grotesquely over-ranked planes and either teams made of complete thumb-sucking rejects or the most absolute grizzled players who will clutch victories on ricepaper and shoestring.
[sp]If you chose anything other than Japan, get the fuck out. We don't take kindly to dishonorabu piggu here.[/sp]
Playing arcade and not historical.jpg
Sometimes I like playing with more than 4 tanks in a match.
At this rate I might be forced to play RB though. Whole reason I played arcade was to avoid the airplanes.

Grind to high rank Japan because triple tag team of J7W, N1K, and Ki-84 is unstoppable through power of friendship.

The small button on the right labeled "events".
Just had an amazing game in the wellington. Managed to both drop all my bombs and kill a pursuer with my turret by knocking out his pilot.
Still not worth it to fly that plane though.

50's are utterly useless. They can only kill soft targets such as arty and AAA, and you're still better off by mowing them down with gunner fire.

Although Japanese planes are rather unforgiving, my best and most fun flights were in them.
