Arcade tanks is the funnest and it actually has players. Getting killed by bombers is rare so it doesn't bother me, it's much better than previously when you'd get bombed to shit by a bunch of player IL-2s before you could get out of the spawn area. RB is also fun but if only it had more players. Simulation is just "muh elitism lul arcade scrub"

I saw a battle clutched by a Ki-61-Ic who was able to take down both a Mustang, a Captured 190, and a B-17 who caught him on fire.
The battle literally came down to "who could glide longer." And he won.
Japanese players are sometimes some kinda fuckin magic I tell you what.
And then I played on a map with alot of hills...
As long as I dont have to aim downwards, its still a fun tank though.

RB has plenty of players just literally all of them are playing Germany. Russian queues are instant but expect to lose.

Tried RB last night and it was easy mode. Out of 10~ish matches my tiger only died twice, and one of those was from an IL-2. It was kind of fun one shotting t34s at over a kilometer though.

arcade is fun for seal clubbing in OP tanks and thats about it really
the aiming aid makes it a twitch shooter RNG shitfest like WoT which is just an awful design for a tank game. RB and SB feel like more accessible versions of Red Orchestra tank combat which is just about perfect IMO
Is it just me or did they nerf the CL-13 to hell and back? Some F-25 Sabre, even when I put 10 rounds into it, was able to outturn me, outrun me, and 1-shot my ass.

That's actually intriguing, if they did indeed nerf the CL13, I would assume people would use it less and it'll bring back more classic Migs vs Sabre/Panther matches

When it comes to tanks, I can either do Arcade, or SB, but I absolutely can not stand Realism Battles. It has all the long and boring components of SB, combined with the nametag-sniping bullshit from Arcade. It's fucking terrible.
The whole name-tag BS ruins both arcade and RB in my opinion, but SB is all but empty. It's too bad really. I think SB would be a ton of fun with full matches.

Pretty much every plane I've played this patch has been a lot more sensitive to that kind of thing, I think it comes with the DM update. I haven't snapped in test flights personally but I guess I am careful.

It's every bit as broken as people bitch about. Combat flaps outta this world. Insane climb. Moderate (faster than anything it faces) speed when it needs it. And armed like a Beaufighter outta hell.

you can't put the flaps down at anything less than 320km/h, and I just took several hits from a Ho.229 and the worst it did was send my engine to overheat about 3 minutes after I pilot killed him with the tail gun.

Can anyone confirm if the new maps have been added to Realistic or Simulator battles? I've played probably 10 games in my last session, all Realistic, and only one of them was on the new map Mozdok, which is the only new one I've seen. Been so much Jungle and Kursk that I'm beginning to think Poland is a myth.

It's biggest fault is it's slow speed, fragile ammo rack, and the ability for one gunner to sneeze (knocking them all out.)
Panzer IIs are actually it's deadliest opponent. They soak up 45 and 76mm like there's no tomorrow. T-26s can snipe you from extreme distances. But it's a fun tank.
The T-35 is literally the TB-3 of tanks. Huge, hilarious, slow, and only powerful in the right hands and circumstances.
