I had one F7F kill 9 of us Bf 109s, Fw 190s, and Ta 152s that were flying together simply by being 2k above us and boom and zooming us. He was being all cocky and shit in chat too, pissed me off.

I haven't gotten it yet, but a few of my friends did. I watched a pair of Shindens kill all three of them in quick succession. I guess the key is to get above the thing so you actually have something to shoot at, especially since cannons hurt again. I have fought them though, and yeah, they're kinda ridiculous.

They key to the F7F is to not suck. It's the type of fighter thats OP as fudge in the hands of a good pilot, and shit in the hands of a shit pilot.
I'm starting to get the hang of zeroes (a6m3 mod 22, and the first a6m5) in RB. However, i'm still fuckin hopeless with the ki84.

As I've been told, it's not a turnfighter like the Zeroes, but it has ridiculous straight line and dive speeds, so play it like an FW-190.

I just wanted to say that clubbing pubbies with the Wirbelwind in the Rapid Fire event going on right now is so satisfying. I don't normally like arcade events, but since this one is strictly 20 and 37 mm autocannons it's really pretty balanced, and I've never felt cheated when getting killed yet. It's just [i]fun[/i].

If you're used to the Zero, the Ki-84 will take a lot of getting used to. Although it does have a good turn rate, it's not the best turn rate anymore. It's energy retention is stellar though, and so is it's climb rate. Use those two to your advantage.
Climb at 280 at the beginning of the match. Nothing other than Tigercats can match your climb rate if that's all you do.
The Ki-84 is also a plane that benefits a lot from the upgrades. It's not bad stock, but you'll definitely feel the difference as you upgrade it.

The landing craft on one of the Nippon v. Burg RB maps was absorbing 3 solid seconds of quad 30mm fire.
I dunno what they fucked up, but they fucked it up hard.
It's on Saipan. Specifically, the landing crafts that go towards the A point. I don't know what makes those special, but they absorb significantly more fire than the landing craft of any other map.

IL-28 if you want hilarious, fun, high-stakes high-gains plane. Sometimes you gonna get intercepted by D-13s and blown apart from 2km out, sometimes you gonna nuke half of Korea and proceed to shoot down three enemy jets.
Canberra is far more smooth sailing with better bombloads and speed that's annoying to chase even with other jets, but you drop bombs and that's pretty much it for you, so it's a boring spacebar smacker wagon.
Worth noting tho that Lassar has pretty much confirmed that the gun-armed canberras are planned, so you want to be ready for these as that's where shit gonna get real. The thing is, these might as well come sometimes next decade so it's your call for how ready you want to be for them.
Speaking of the jet bomber development, tho, Lassar still wants to fix how airplane guns perform, and the the last of the three upcoming stages of his interest will be Frag damage, which Soviet cannon doctrine (for both Shvaks and Nudleman's) relied on over high-explosive or incendiary effect, so once he manages to properly look at that, noodlymans should become far far deadlier than they have been so far.

The nose guns of the Il-28 are fine for damage, they're just horrifically inaccurate without upgrades and have piss poor velocity

Having played like 50 or so matches in the B-57, go with the IL-28. B-57 has a very short life expectancy and a very boring play style. Your typical match is just you dropping your 6 or 9 bombs, then holding J for 3 seconds to bail.
You can try and land and Re-arm but you'll be shot up on the airfield every single time. Yea, you're faster than any other aircraft you'd face but that doesn't really make it any less boring. I say just research it and buy it but dont bother playing it. Just get it so you're ready for when the armed variants appear.
