This is exactly the sort of mentality that killed bad company 2 for me, every server was run by a bunch of kids that would ban you for swearing despite the game having an inbuilt chat filter and voice files that contained swearing.
Fuck off if you can't deal with a bit of language your playing a game about murdering people that simulates the time period that caused one of the largest losses of human life.

Not saying I agree with their logic, but the chat filter being there doesn't mean swearing is allowed, it's there so people don't have to see it.
Yeah but that in turn defeats the purpose of it being there to start with, why filter something out if your going to be punished for it anyway, you may as-well just not have it since the whole point of a filter is so that people who don't want to see swearing don't have to while those that want to can, its not like someone not seeing you swear is going to negatively impact their gaming experience.
Maybe from now on ill deliberately use long winded insults that use no actual swear words, see if they ban me for that too

The issue with tanks is that unlike planes, they often can't do "just well enough". Tank can be nigh unbeatable when facing something, and then be completely useless when facing the next enemy in the continuity. It's hard to balance without a health system and RNG that smear the difference.

yeah, but the idea of simulator and realistic battles isn't to be historically accurate, there's events for that.
All they really need to do is modify the battle tiers a little bit. Either knock the t-34 up abit or give the panzer iii L roughly equal tiering. Because atm as a result of the fact the germans don't have anything equal with roughly the same tiering, t-34s are being put against tanks that can't fight them effectively.

Two years after the release of the Open Beta for aircraft and Gaijin is STILL tweaking aircraft every update.
There was a time in CBT when I felt tanks were pretty well rounded. Early tanks had a good power that could match the armor and durability of later tier Tanks, but with the advancing changes and problems when facing enemy aircraft, things changed.. and will continue to..
Can't imagine what its going to be like when Boats come out. I bet there'll be one-shot Tank>Boat battles :v:

But this is not really a thing they can just fix. This is a reality problem.
In reality tank development was far more rigid than in aircraft where "okay just make it faster and more agile" was the almost constant mantra from 1900 to 1950 and everyone knew what they wanted in advance.
With tanks, it was "Okay, they have this tank A, we will build a tank B that will defeat tank A armor at any range and have armor that will be impenetrable by tank A" swing, back and forth, a lot of the time, and when there's obviously some overlap, the issue of "can't kill, can't be killed by" lasted until end of the war when basically already, armor was getting pointless because everyone said "fuck it" and threw their massive anti air cannons onto the chassis and the shells slowly became unstoppable.
What they [I]can[/I] do is cook up a very clever matchmaker that will interlace tanks, and for example will make sure to throw 3 shit tanks and 3 good tanks against 6 average tanks, but never 6 shit tanks against 6 good tanks. That's however complicated and also, it will stretch waiting times, mainly for the most offendingly hard with work tanks, and Gaijin, even tho they gained a lot of players through the tank release, still don't have a massive enough playerbase to further restrict the matchmaker.
This game really needs a full reward feature, on a loss, if you're in the top 3.
I'm tired of playing Atlas in an overtiered matchs while my drooling dundershit teammates park everywhere but the capture points and play camp wars.

I'd be satisfied if they made assists worth more. Granted I play Arcade more than Historical, but in arcade there's really no reason [I]not[/I] to chase kills because if you don't secure it someone will take it and you'll get the table scraps. I've noticed this actually does happen in Historical now too because for some reason if you de-wing somebody you have to wait for them to crash before you get the kill. Basically I feel like assists are really easy to end up with, but not really worth it.

You can still get quite a bit of RP at the end of the match in ground forces if most of your points are from assists (assuming you actually are dealing damage and not just shooting people once before somebody else gets them)

You are an idiot, and completely fail to understand how does the RP bonus works. My T-34-85 has 60% research bonus. Killing 4 tanks in it, I get ~5000RP. T-34-57 mod.43 has 196% research bonus. If you were right, killing 4 tanks would land me ~16kRP, but I had matches where I killed 8 players and ended up with just a bit of shy of 10kRP.
The research bonus is applied to the FIRST NUMBER in "Reward" of the tank (So for SU-122Ps 140%+140%, the number you count it from is JUST the 140%) meanwhile, the SU-100 "base" reward is 280%.
Also, just to test it out (and because I bloody love that thing), I just bought Talisman on my T-34-85.

The "Research Point Bonus" stat just went from 60% to 220%.

This this this. The Talisman reward ratios are really weird, but they basically turn your aircraft into a premium plane without the money bonus (and who the hell runs out of money in this game?). I've bought a fuckload of Talismans and they all put the standard planes up to equal or better than the premiums within their rank. Dropping 6k Geagles on a single copy-pasta premium vehicle when you can just throw a talisman on the real variant is dumb. You have to be very rich, very stupid, or both.

The PZ IV H has been my favorite tank in RB so far. I haven't played the Panther very much, but my experiences with it so far have not been fun. It's a fairly large tank that doesn't seem to have much effective armor against the T-34-85. Every time my Panther has been shot, it has either had the turret busted or the tank was set on fire.

Virtually the same problems I've been having with the Tiger, every shot seems to cripple the turret, the gun, or set it on fire. And from the my experiences it seems that the first T-34-85 one shots everything.
Is it just me or is the KV-1 Zis-5 completely useless? It's gun is VERY meh and the armor seems pointless when almost every German tank can penetrate it from the front.
I would rather play any of the T-34s over this thing.
